Hunter School Sports Association Boolaroo, New South Wales 2284
About the Business
Welcome to the Hunter School Sports Association, located in the beautiful city of Lake Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to providing carefully planned, adaptable, and enjoyable physical activity experiences for all students in NSW public schools.
At the School Sport Unit, we strive to promote increased participation in sport and physical activity, leading to healthier and more active lifestyles. Parents, teachers, and students can browse our Schools Sports Associations to find representative sport events and results for students aged 8 to 19 years old. Additionally, teachers and parents/carers can access information on school swimming and water safety programs and learning resources.
One of our flagship programs is the Premier's Sporting Challenge (PSC), a multi-faceted initiative aimed at getting more students and staff active, more often. Through the PSC, we offer a range of initiatives to students and teachers across the state, encouraging them to embrace physical activity and sports.
We strongly believe in providing opportunities for students with disabilities to get involved in sports at various levels. Our school sport structure caters to participation as well as elite levels, with the latter requiring classification through the appropriate sporting organization for regional, state, national, or international competitions.
For teachers and school leaders, we offer advice, support, and compliance resources to implement high-quality and safe sport and physical activities for students. We also provide professional learning workshops, eLearning courses, and teaching and learning resources to support the implementation of quality sport and physical activity programs.
If you are looking for competitive sport opportunities for students and staff in NSW public schools affiliated with the Hunter Schools Sports Association, you've come to the right place. We take pride in our achievements, and in 2022, we celebrated seven State Championships and a large number of individuals selected in NSW Representative teams. Our Secondary Major Award winners included Jemma Pollard, who was awarded the Merv Cotterill Trophy, Ethan Ferguson as the Sportsman of the Year, and Ava Jankovic as the Sportswoman of the Year.
You can find us located in the grounds of Boolaroo Public School in Lake Macquarie. Please note that our Hunter Office entrance is on Main Road, closer to Third Street. The building is well signposted, and the door at the end of the service ramp serves as the primary entry point.
We are excited to announce our BRAND NEW range of apparel, now available for sale at our Boolaroo Office or when completing students' online consent forms through DASH.
