With a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Australian National University, Rachael is dedicated to helping individuals overcome their current problems and address the root cause by changing unhelpful thinking and behavior. Through therapy sessions, she will assist you in reframing your experiences and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life's obstacles.

Rachael is well-versed in various evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), schema therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness. Additionally, her experience at Relationships Australia has equipped her with skills in Gottman Therapy for couples.

Psychological services are currently available on Thursdays and Fridays at Suite 13b Level 1, Manuka Arcade, 22-30 Franklin Street, Manuka ACT. Rachael offers discounted rates for private clients, which are significantly below the recommended fees by the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Please note that payment is required at the time of booking for all new clients, as this commitment to therapy enhances continuity of care and contributes to positive therapeutic outcomes. Rachael also operates under a 48-hour cancellation policy to ensure availability for other clients in need. Appointments canceled within 24 hours may incur a 100% charge of the total fee, while missed appointments will be charged the full fee.

Rachael understands that life can be unpredictable, and emergencies can arise. If you miss an appointment due to a genuine emergency and notify her, she will accommodate your situation. However, frequent cancellations within the 24-hour period without notification may result in the full fee being charged.

For clients with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), a Medicare rebate of $136.35 is available for eligible sessions. Under the current Medicare rebate scheme, clients can receive a rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, as determined by their referring practitioner. To utilize the Medicare rebate, clients must have an MHCP and be referred by a GP or Psychiatrist. Alternatively, private health insurance may offer rebates, and clients are advised to check with their respective funds for confirmation.
