Our journey began in 2011 when Emily and Russell Brindley founded Sweet Bones. Emily's passion for baking and Russell's expertise in delivering led them to supply numerous cafes across Canberra. In November 2012, they took a significant step forward by opening their first brick and mortar shop in the vibrant Lonsdale Street Traders. In October 2014, we relocated to our current location in Braddon, where we continue to create culinary delights that delight our customers.
In November 2018, we proudly introduced Sweet Bones, The Cookbook, which quickly became a hit (currently sold out). As we celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2021, we are thrilled to announce that exciting things are in store for our loyal patrons. Look out for our upcoming recipe zine, new shop modifications, and the potential opening of a second location. Stay connected with us through our social media platforms to stay informed about all the latest developments.
Visit Sweet Bones Bakery and Cafe to experience the perfect blend of delicious food, warm ambiance, and friendly service. We can't wait to serve you!

"Best vegan pancakes I've ever had!!! You don't need to be a vegan to enjoy the food here, my husband took the big breakfast and he really enjoyed the seitan here. The tofu scramble had a very good flavour. The staff are amazing can't wait to come back!"
"Vegan cinnamon rolls were elite!! Coffee was delicious, the kids menu items were delightedly scarfed, the spicy beans were amazing… probably our favorite place to eat in Canberra."
"Always a pleasure finding a vegan Cafe, so naturally we just had to visit and try the food and coffees. Loved the vibe of the Cafe, food and coffees were delicious. Really enjoyed the big breakfast and my wife loved the roast pumpkin salad - never had pumpkin so sweet before! We also ordered a soy flat white and ice matcha, all were delicious and perfect for a warm sunny day. Would definitely return the next time back in Canberra!"
"As a wedding photographer, I can't count how many times I've had the couples I worked with order their cakes from Sweet Bones Bakery. There's nothing like a well-designed, eco-friendly organic cake to make a milestone of a celebration even more memorable. I find it incredible how Sweet Bones Bakery has created tasty pastries while caring for the environment at the same time; I sure hope more will follow in their footsteps! Absolutely, you have to try their food and pastry. They're simply divine!"
