"Be careful of paying up front. We made the mistake of paying up front, at Kent's insistence, for an interstate move after being reassured many times verbally and, at our request, with a note in the contract saying we would be refunded any difference based on the actual volume shipped. It took us over two months and a threat of legal action to recover the refund owing to us, their argument being for much of that time that we should pay for mistakes they had made in estimating and shipping our goods. In addition, special packing we'd paid for up front was never used. In fact the standard of wrapping goods was poor to non-existent. They must have done an OK job of packing though or we were very lucky as, in contrast to other reviewers here, our goods basically made it through intact including some delicate items. In contrast to the Canberra branch, the Hobart branch has been a joy to deal with and a model of clear, open communication."

"** ABSOLUTE DISASTER ** We had booked with these guys thinking they would take care of our stuff well. I was totally wrong. We also have opted for premium insurance as some of the furniture was expensive. 1. They did not load the stuff in the container well. A 500L fridge was sitting on the 65 inch TV. 2. Sent only one person to download the furniture of two bedroom house. This has caused more time and some times he couldn't handle the items carefully. Not his mistake, but the people's who loaded the items. 3. Broke the dining table, tall boy and chipped TV unit and TV base itself. Kent has transferred the case to the insurance provider said they no more responsible. I would never suggest Kent to anyone."

"Terrible moving experience with Kent. They are so unprofessional that they didn't bring their own tools to my place and asked for pens and tape. They wanted to put tape on my furniture. I seriously told them that they couldn't do it because that it would be damage the furniture but they did it anyway when I wasn’t watching them. They asked us waiting at my new place 8th morning time 8 am, they will do moving between 8am to 930am. I put off of my other work and waited they coming. Morning time they called and said that they cannot come on time, will delay that to 10am. However they came at almost 4:30PM!!!! I waited them whole day and called them twice during the day. The first call was not answered by them, and did not reply. For the second phone call, customer service said that the truck breakdown caused the delivery would be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, but the result is that they arrived at almost 4:30 pm. We thanked the movers’ hard work and that sorry for the truck broke down. But the two movers said that the truck had NOT broken down, that it was a ten-minute drive from the warehouse to our apartment, and that the failure to arrive on time was due to their improper arrangements. Finally, my partner and I got our furniture and stuff, BUT A LOT OF DAMAGES ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️"
