The teachers at Acclaim are not only incredibly talented but also very encouraging and inclusive. They create an environment where every child feels valued and supported. "My kids started dancing at Acclaim Dance and Cheer Co in the middle of the year. I couldn’t recommend Miss Renee and Miss Charlotte more. The way the welcomed my kids and myself was extremely warm and just like we are family. They made sure my kids transitioned smoothly from their previous school and got them into all the classes. They also made time to have one on one classes straight away with my kids so that my kids didn’t miss out on any competition they were already entered in. The teachers that teach the classes at acclaim are so warm and welcoming they’ve been super understanding with my daughter who has extra needs and gave her some extra help in settling in to the new environment. "Took my 3 year old here for a trial class, we walked in and were standing around for some time with other parents, class started within 10 minutes but we figured we’d be shown around and given some kind of tour. We had no idea what we were supposed to be doing. A lady approached us and asked if we were there for a trial, we said yes, she said ok someone will be here shortly. Class was about to start a few minutes later and a young lady approached my daughter, asked her name, took her by the hand and walked off. ( we had no idea where they were going) so we followed. We were approached by the First Lady (owner) because we were following our daughter, she said “your daughters fine, you don’t need to be here”. Again we had no idea what they did in class, which room the class was in, what it looked like, what there credentials were, what their insurance was, what our role was etc. We were told nothing about anything. We were never told that we couldn’t attend the first class with our daughter, it was a trial class, and we wanted to trial it as much as we wanted our daughter to trial it. I told the lady that I know my daughter better than herself, I would prefer to stay and watch what they are doing and see how my daughter fits in and interacts as this is her very first time etc. My daughter had never done anything like this before and had been needing some reassurance and support while in the car on the way there and while waiting in the lobby, so I knew she was feeling anxious, I wanted this to be a safe and enjoyable experience for her. The lady than walked away as if she was annoyed that she did not have total control of my daughter , the owner I’m sure it was. The teacher of the class was nice and included my daughter well. At the end of the class, the owner seen my wife standing there, ignored her and walked away. We left quite baffled. We have since found a dance class that is much more inclusive and supportive for new beginners."
