"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! I have purchased a suit for my son that retailed for almost a $1000 just on 12 months ago. Being a suit not something that is worn frequently. The jacket seam has split and frayed due to extremely poor quality workmanship. I attended the store today and the shop assistant claimed the jacket had been purposely cut and that I should take it to the alterations place downstairs to be repaired at my own cost. Then as I went to leave the store I was then super sarcastically told that I should have bought the jacket back in on a hanger and not folded in a bag, I am still at a loss to understand what difference that would have made to the substandard quality of their product. Then later when the store was phoned about how I was spoken to, the store manager blatantly lied and denied all of the above. I probably should feel sorry for their employer for having such poor representation of their brand."

"I wish I had met Craig (who I believe is the manager) years ago. I used to have so many badly fitted clothes until I met him. He’s now my go to guy whenever I need something for an event. Great service by him and staff and great quality clothes. Highly recommend."

"I had a coffee spilt all over me in the plane. Upon arrival I went straight to this store to grab a new shirt. The team here could not do enough to help me - including steaming the shirt in another store ! Recommend them highly."

"Update: I reached out as per the response I received from M.J.Bale to this review. The staff member advised they have scheduled a feedback session with me to come to a resolution. However, in similar fashion to my wedding suit, they fell through and never contacted me as they had arranged. I can only conclude that M.J.Bale is dedicated to providing bad customer experience and does not honestly seek to rectify any issues or obtain feedback. Original review: Genuinely terrible experience. Short version: - Don't waste your time - Suits don't look as good in person - Bad customer service. Long version: Booked a one hour styling appointment at M.J.Bale Canberra and then called a couple of days ahead to make sure we were all set and they had my size etc etc. Got to my appointment, despite having 3 staff on, they kept serving walk-ins throughout my appointment, the one hour booking ended up taking nearly 2 hours and I only got about 10 minutes with an actual staff member, most of the appointment was spent waiting for staff to serve other people. When the lady did serve me, instead of discussing suit options and styles, she just kept asking me what I wanted to buy. So I pointed out a couple of things I liked the look of. She immediately tried to order me one and then commented that I had chosen a "casual suit" instead of a "formal suit", no idea why she didn't mention this earlier, I don't know much about suits hence why I booked in a styling appointment. In addition, throughout the brief moments she chat with me, she was complaining about how she has 23 weddings she's currently getting suits ready for and "normally people come in months in advance and buy their suits"; apparently my requirement of a suit for in 3 months time was too short of notice and stressful for her to deal with. I was hoping to having someone actually help me with suit selection, not serve walk-ins and complain about their job for 2 hours. Then for the salt on top, she calls back 2 weeks later to say she can't even get in the suit I ordered because it was given to someone in Hobart (well, that was just one of the many excuses she started spurting out, I actually had to just hang up on her, I really didn't need a 5+ minute phone call listening to excuses which also stretched to it somehow being my fault). Thankfully there are a lot of good suit shops in Canberra, I have already got another suit purchased and getting tailored. As an additional note that's separate to the service, the suits at M.J.Bale look worse in real life in comparison to the professional photos on their website."
