"Avoid like the plague, spend the money at a real jeweller. Had a watch battery replaced in April at the kiosk near Priceline and the watch stopped working shortly after. I returned to the store with the watch and warranty card and asked the staff to check if it was the battery or something else wrong with the watch. After opening the watch, they discovered that the battery was different to the warranty card and accused me of providing a false warranty card rather than the obvious answer - it wasn't changed in the first place. The staff struggled to change the battery while I waited, so I offered to come back another time. Upon returning the staff couldn't located my watch "because I didn't have a ticket" and then, as they were different staff from when I dropped it off, asked for payment as I couldn't provide a receipt. Perhaps put some systems in place to track orders rather than accusing your customers of stealing from you. Especially if it's your MO to steal from customers. Updated review - my watched stopped working despite a new battery being installed. After taking it to a genuine watch repairer I discovered that not only was the wrong battery installed, they did almost $600 worth of damage to the watch. I have reached out to Mister Minit who have ignored me. Again, avoid for any watch-related work."

"Absolutely horrendous experience here. I headed to the downstairs kiosk in Woden Plaza for a routine battery replacement and before the person undertook this, he tried to upsell me on a whole bunch of keys and things I didn’t need and never asked for. I politely declined and asked for the item that I originally requested. Next thing - queue the racist questioning, where are you from? (Here’s me completely thrown off thinking - um, I’m from the Northside?) But NO, where are you REALLY from? I replied that I was Australian. Then: You’re not actually Australian. What. The. Heck.??!! Who knew that not being white and not being Australian weren’t the same thing! I was incredulous at how rude this person was and how he thought it was ok to make very intrusive small talk about my race and ethnicity, when all I wanted was a simple battery replacement. I cannot recall in the 23 years I’ve lived in Canberra being spoken to this way by a retail employee - not even when I first moved here and it was significantly less diverse back then than it is now. The whole interaction left me feeling angry and upset. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!"

"Today I took a quite valuable watch for a replacement battery. The man was not sure what type of battery it would need, so offered to take off the back and see what battery was fitted. He said that if he didn't have the same, he would not replace it, but close it up. 10 minutes later, he told me that his tools didn't exactly fit the back and he was reluctant to use force in case he scratched the case. He gave me a full explanation of his process, returned the watch to me and didn't seek payment for his time. This is a true professional showing integrity and honesty. Thank you very much."

"Had a great experience today, the gentleman with the beard agreed to do a minor repair and battery change on a watch of mine. I paid and picked up the watch 30 mins later, and only when I got home did I realise that the repairs went above and beyond what I had originally anticipated. Thank you very much, it was greatly appreciated!"
