"Very poor service, manager was so rude I asked for my sauce and made a big fuss about it, waited for food and asked for it to be all fresh but he just gives me old food and says its all fresh, I suggest making the trip to belco. Mr Var should be ashamed to have such a rude manager"
"Delivery never arrived after waiting for over an hour. Went to the store to tell them, this, the manager seemed annoyed I was there. After eventually 'convincing' him to follow through with the order (why would you need to do that in such a circumstance), he gives it to me. When I asked for a refund on the difference (which is being generous, because this cost me significantly more time and effort and I only really ordered because I wanted delivery in the first place, and also how did the manager seriously not even bring this up), the manager doesn't want to and only wants to give me food instead. I'm over the ordeal so I accept and ask for extra chicken, and even then, gives the bare minimum, and says take a drink (Seriously? You mess me around multiple times over and still so cheap and unaccommodating). Also, they sell their chicken as "3 piece" "6 piece" "10 piece" deals etc. yet some of the pieces are maybe 25% the size of the other pieces, basically a scam. And with this order, I got plenty of those 25% the size pieces. Let alone their prices are now 'use inflation as an excuse to push prices well beyond the actual inflation rate', so it's not even good value anymore. Never ordering Kingsley ever again."
"Not being a native to Canberra going on almost 6 years now. I have never heard of this place, and all this time, I had thought that KFC was the only well-known mainstream provider. I blame my significant other for introducing this to me, now that I am almost addicted to this place and the weird thing is that the entire franchise as far as I am aware, are only located in Canberra. No other metropolitan major city district has this yet. I wholeheartedly believe if they were to branch out, they would definitely rival KFC and anything else similar. The chicken just tastes better and has less oil than KFC. In the past, the quality of KFC was just not there. There is generally for me a 50/50 chance that I'll end up getting food poisoning as opposed to Kingsleys. The Pros: - cost versus competitor - variety - customer service The Cons - easily can be addictive - the franchise shop fronts are rather dated with a bit of a 1980s/1990s decor - No drive-through option yet - shopping centre locations not that great compared to larger standalone locations (may not apply to everyone but have noticed a quality difference) In summary, it is a unique and strange isolated phenomenon that only happens in Canberra. If you haven't been to any of these stores before, all I can suggest from a health advocate is to eat in moderation. Thank you."
"Happy place. People are getting fried chicken, of course they are happy! I got some tenders for the dog. She loves tenders. These ones looked the good."
"I've just ordered take out and got home to find that parts of our order were missing. This wasn't the worst of the issues. I then opened my burger and all the ingredients were falling out. After reconstructing my burger I went to take a bite and noticed there was mould on the burger bun. This is unacceptable and just disgusting. I will not be going to Kingsley's again. If I could leave a no star review I would."
