"We were extremely disappointed with this Japanese restaurant. We attempted to order over the phone but they were unable to explain what rolls they could make for us. So we went in to order instead, this is where it went further downhill. Three of the dishes were not able to be made (we had an old menu) but there was little attempt to make what we wanted or substitute. We paid for the order and returned after about 30 mins. It was a large order we weren’t concerned about the wait time. But in return we were informed that we paid $75 less than what we were charged for? They calculated it not sure how that occurred? For what we received I felt it was overpriced. We paid the extra however (the food was already made and we had hungry people waiting). Food wasn’t great I’d give it an extra star (2 stars). The rolls were small about the size of a ten cent piece as it says in other reviews. The rice bowls were only just 2 stars. I’d avoid this establishment and spend your money elsewhere."
"Tried to get a feed for 2 young children but was left with hungry kids and having paid about $40. Sushi was a joke - not fresh and more like sticks (kids words). Salmon bowl was mini size and cost about $25 so a real disappointment. They should be ashamed - price gouging so hopefully people see this and stay away!"
"Had to grab our usual for lunch for a hungry child and grandmother. Disappointed, clearly price gouging during the holiday season. Sushi rolls were the equivalent of tiny cigars. Never seen sushi rolls that tiny and with a price increase just in time for the holiday season of 4 for $12, Sushi Dragon have lost us locals as customers. Very unethical and sad to see. Yes food and labour costs have gone up but reducing portions and increasing prices to this extent is shameful."
"Good to very good Gyoza and sashimi was fresh and delicious. The sushi came from a display fridge and was a bit dry. We also had a karage curry which was pretty good. The chicken was yum the sauce was good enough."
"Very good sushi made by a real Japanese chef. Excellent and attentive service. Also there are nice vegetarian-friendly dishes such as the teriyaki tofu bowl."
