"Terrible experience. We were treated like criminals because the store's eftpos machine apparently failed. We paid upfront and sat down to eat dim sum. The transaction went through but we were accused to not paying by the manager on the phone (staff said to us: "our manager wants to speak to you" while we were eating). Manager then came in and yelled at us. The staff then called their bank apparently and said that the bank wanted to speak to us. We declined. Another manager actually stood at the front of the store forbidding us to leave, if we wanted to. However, we were still eating. This teetered on false imprisonment. Security was called and security apologised to us and explained we did not have to pay again. We paid again as the owner spoke to us and was apologetic, as we wanted to leave, we just paid cash. That night, the owner texted me to say the transaction went through and bank transferred me the balance. ----- Below is a text I considered sending to the owner, however it is posted here for transparency ----- Hi A- (owner), just thought to point out for you and your business' benefit that we were actually therefore never in the wrong and nothing that occurred should have occurred. The error was on your system notwithstanding it is a new or bad system. We were essentially badgered and berated during our meal and felt as if we could not leave due to security being called, particularly our treatment by Wei Wei, who we spoke to twice on the phone during our meal and confronted us multiple times during the night. We were also asked to speak to your bank. I understand your staff behaviour are not always under your control. I want to thank your two staff members (male and female behind the counter), they were professional and only doing their job. Our grievance is with Wei Wei and the way the situation was handled - particularly as it turns out, there was never a payment or declined payment issue. I know this is a 'small matter' however we do not feel customers should be treated this way. We hope that the appropriate misconduct procedure or training is put into place as I know that such behaviour could be serious misconduct and lead to termination of employment at certain workplaces. We are disappointed at the situation that occurred but thank you for your calmness. Despite that, we are still aggrieved and I hope you receive this message in full understanding of the situation that we were placed in, incorrectly. As Wei Wei noted, it was all on CCTV, you may wish to review that if there is any confusion about our account of events."

"Thought I'll treat myself to some lunch, had the roast duck and noodles (dry), very delicious cannot fault it. The noodles was cooked perfectly with enough sauce. Generous serve of choy sum on the side. The duck- WOW tender with crispy skin and very generous, about a quarter of duck! The only thing missing is a little bowl of soup. Otherwise this is the best roast duck and noodles I've ever had around Perth."

"Edited review: 05/09/2022 If you can’t be bothered queuing up at Canton Lane for Dim Sum, this is the next best choice as it is their sister restaurant. Menu is limited but service is much better here & less wait time. Restaurant was very busy during lunch hour. Was told that it was going to be roughly 20 minutes wait, but food came out in less than 10 minutes. I ordered a Roast Duck & Roast Pork combination Dry Noodles. It was pretty yummy, only comment I’ll make is the Roast Pork was quite fatty. Service was friendly & swift. Price is slightly on the higher end for Noodles but mind you the portioning was quite big. Overall, not a bad experience."

"We come here all the time. The best Peking Duck in Perth. Their dumplings are so delicious. Such tiny morsels of goodness and freshness. My favourite is the 2 combination of meat, boneless. We choose Peking duck and roast pork. So yummy. Sometimes we have it with rice, sometimes we order it with soups, and we choose our noodles. We love our egg noodles and rice noodles. The broth is so tasty and fresh. Everything were served timely and staff were all so friendly and helpful. I recommend this tiny gem to everyone. They are so busy all the time, you can just imagine why. We had also bought the whole duck and have taken it home and we use it when making rice paper rolls home made. I have tasted Peking Duck everywhere in Perth, theirs are way better. So fresh, tender and delicious. I love it!!!"
