"Last night we really felt like getting Chinese for dinner and our usual spot Grand Essence in Jindalee was closed over the holidays. So our second option was Seagrove Chinese restaurant who are usually good to where also closed. Our closest option was Merriwa Chinese restaurant so we decided to give them a go. We are used to having delicious Chinese from our regular so we were so excited to get Chinese. We ordered special fried rice, beef with oyster sauce, satay chicken, combination chow mein and just a steamed rice so spent $65 all together. When we opened the bag we realised the dishes where only 3/4 full and the sauce looked really thin and watery. We then proceeded to eat the dishes which had no flavour and tasted watery. They were without a doubt the worst take away and Chinese we've ever had which was so disappointing when you spend $65. I decided to call the restaurant and let them know what our feedback was on the cooking i spoke with the cook and she claimed that all the ingredients were fresh and that she uses cornflour so thats why the sauce was like that which makes absolutely no sense because cornflour is a thickener. I honestly just wanted to let them know how bad the food tasted. Would highly not recommend."
