"Title: beware of food in the Pie Warmer. I used to be a great fan when I was living in Perth a few years back. Used to buy satay sticks like 30 or 50 sticks each time. I see a bit of change in the stall this time. Anyway 2 days ago at opening time I went there to give the place a try. I saw the boyu ie a round pastry in the hot Pie Warmer with the curry puffs etc. Curious I asked the man what it is. He explained it to me n I thought I would try it. There was only 1 in the Bain Marie n so I was a bit sus as why only have one at the start of the day. He said no problem as they had more not yet cooked n they r quite popular. So I bought it to try. While he was putting the pastry in the bag I could see he was hesitant as though he was thinking whether he should pack it for me or make a fresh one. It was stale!. What a disappointment. More disappointing was when I approached the owner today to tell him about my experience I was met with a smirk n "so what" attitude. He said they have no control over the food in the Pie Warmer as they get it from suppliers. Too bad that I paid 3aud for that pastry. I wasn't expecting to get my money back or get a replacement but to be met with that kind of attitude is adding insult to injury. The younger boy who was sitting at the counter also had an endless smirk on his face while listening to our conversation. So beware if U r thinking of buying something from the Bain Marie."
"Come for the Saté, Satay for the nasi lemak Do's: - Satay is pretty good, maybe not as char as I personally like but still tasty - Nasi goreng was pretty decent - Nasi Lemak was pretty decent as well Don'ts: - Parking is a headache - Tables on weekends are pretty packed"
"OMG tried the Mee Siam today. Amazing flavours the rice noodles were a little tough but it certainly rocked my tastebuds."
"I really should dine here more often. The food tastes very authentic and the prices are standard for this type of eatery. A couple of weeks back, my wife dined there and bought me a takeaway serve of mee siam. It was good even though I ate it several hours after. I went there on Sunday to try it again. My wife had mee rebus with two stocks of beef satay (a good combo). We shared, of course. The cook did not stint on the spices in either dish and the grave in both was rich and thick. There are several other dishes that I want to try based on my experience with these. There are lots of other interesting food stalls around and there is bound to be something to take your fancy."
