"Terrible customer service. We had a booking with HRSP via the Stays app that we made 6 months in advance. They had our payment details and phone number, and could also contact us via the Stays app. I wrongly assumed that the payment would go through automatically when it was due. However as we didn't make payment 30 days prior to our booking they cancelled. The notice of cancellation was the first message that I received. They had sent emails, but because they were from an unknown source they went to the spam folder. I think that if there's a payment problem, the least you can do before cancelling someone's long reserved holiday accommodation, is to at least attempt to contact them by phone or via the service that they booking through. It left us with a very limited selection of accommodation at such short notice."
"Tl;dr The single worst travelling experience I have ever had, it is almost amusing how the room seemed to continually become worse as thew stay went on, despite already being at rock bottom when we walked in. This room was advertised as for SIX people, and yet, everything seemed to come in twos. There were two bedrooms, two small bathrooms, and interestingly, two forks in the entire room. There were also three bowls and four spoons rounding out the least frustrating part of the kitchen in, again, a room for SIX. There were four cooktops in the room's kitchen, and yet zero of them worked. The same number of working ovens was also provided. The dishwasher was in similar shape as simply pulling out the bottom shelf seemed to be a step too far, and pulling out the top shelf immediately led to the dishwasher falling onto the person opening it. This led to a glass being broken on one member of my group. In another act of mathematical brilliance, our room (of again, SIX people) was provided with two keys. While this may be standard practice, it does not change the fact that replacement keys were not even available due to HRSP requiring them. Requiring them for what? An unannounced room check in which they let themselves in, looked through the majority of cupboards and drawers, and had the gall to open and rearrange my own suitcase - all of which occurred while nobody (out of six legal adults) was in the room. The room lacked any basic amenities that you might expect when the room cost over 5k before the additional $600 bond. Expect no soap, no laundry or washing supplies, no toilet paper and no tissues. The most interesting part of the room was the blue tinted windows which managed to turn the glorious daylight of the Queensland summer sun into a frankly depressing atmosphere that could not be mitigated due to the intense winds and 24/7 surveillance. Less interesting, were the house rules that our group had to agree to. Any 'large amount' of alcohol was liable to be confiscated. However, we were in a room of six adults, and a 'large amount' was considered anything more than one bottle of spirits. This combined beautifully with the restrictions on guests. No more than two guests are allowed at any time (regardless as to whether any legitimate noise or other complaint can be made), and after six pm, no guests from outside the hotel were allowed into the room that we paid over 5k for. One star is far more generous than I would like, and it is a shame that google does not allow lower numbers, ideally in the negative. I am unable to think of the required superlatives to describe poor quality of the room, and hope that this review is enough to potentially help anyone considering staying here."
"Entering the unit we were rapt with the location and facilities of the Hilton however over the week things just seemed to let us down. We couldn’t use the oven or microwave both were disgusting and stank so bad. The fridge was leaking god knows what, the range hood dripped old oil when we even tried to use it. Mould all over the shower looks like a massive clean is needed for this unit. Iron was that old it burnt a massive mark on my daughters top it’s now ruined. Found a cockroach on my brush after a day trip. Furniture definitely needs updating well used. We were left a little disappointed considering the amount of money we paid for the weeks stay."
"Comfy beds, great views, great balconies and great location. However, the amenities provided aren't that great, not a great amount of cups, simple things like kitchen paper towels were not provided. Very limiter cleaning products, there was no laundry detergent provided even though there is a washer and dryer. The balconies were nice but the tiles could have been cleaner. Really limited shampoo and body wash provided for four people, only one towel per person and no extra towels. Toilet had problems flushing and furniture was worn out. Overall it Is a nice apartment but the above things could be improved for a more comfortable stay to avoid guests having to spend extra on little items for such a short stay."
"We stayed in a 2bed apartment in Tower 2. Location was brilliant, we literally walked everywhere, caught the G and was great to have Coles and coffee just downstairs. The facilities are very good and the lagoon pool was so good, although freezing, my boys still both went in. Few things in room could have been better, bath plug not fitting, main bathroom was a bit small and no lamps in second room. The apartment was however very spacious and had everything we could need. Great apartments for families, with those small things improved could have been perfect!"
