"I was for 6 months in Campus Perth from Septembre 2022 to April 2023. It's a beautiful place to live when you're a student. Bad points: - Laundry system --> At the beginning, we had to pay the laundry with coins of cash or special coins that you can buy at the reception. It was a really good thing. Then they decided when you go to the reception to buy special coins you have to take minimum 6 because it is too long for the personal to put in the system. I said "Imagine you will leave soon and you don't do 6 laundry". They just replied "Yeah it's like that, we can't change anything". The best part was 2 weeks after the number of coins that you have to buy they decided to change all the system. Instead of having all the laundry machine with the coins system, you have just 2 left with this system and the others have the QR code system with which one you paid. I couldn't use it because it didn't work and for my roomate too. How you can do your laundry if you can't pay ? They have the answer, you have to use which are with coins. How can you be lucky ? 2 machines and maybe more than 300 students, something is definitely wrong. - Lift problems --> One day, I was stuck in the lift for 2 hours half with seven people. Why ? Because problems with lifts are really common there. I can say it was so warm and my plan for the day had been canceled. When I asked for the date of the revision of the lift they said we can not give you that. Something is really suspicious. You will be really lucky to see the three lifts working in the same time. Funny thing, you have stairs but you can use only when you have the fire alarm. If you are phobic about lifts don't go there. Furthemore, the stairs are gray because you have a lot of dust. I would say it's because they never clean these areas since the opening of the campus. - Cleaning --> Apparently, every 2 weeks you have the cleaner who come to clean the room. It's not really right. Turning on the vaccum one minute, it's not cleaning. They just give you new bedsheets and a towel. (when I arrived, I didn't have that but okay) - Fridge problem --> One day, the fridge of my room didn't work. It was during the summer so 35-37 degrees. The fridge was faulty. All the food went to the bin and we dind't receive any refund. Deposit --> You have to wait approximately 3-4 weeks to receive the deposit back after you leave the campus. When I arrived, I paid in cash so I was expecting to receive it like that too. It wasn't. Instead they asked me to wait 5 minutes because the girl wanted to ask her boss. 20 minutes after they said we can't give you the cash but we will do a tranfser with their bank. So I asked them which informations they need to do it. I sent them and 2 weeks after they sent me a mail with some informations missing and the transfer didn't work with this account. I receive after 3 weeks. The good points : - Kitchens have a lot of space, stuffs and they clean it regularly. (of curse you have students who cook like pigs and let the dishes dirty... - The bedroom for four are really nice the idea of the bed are really good. - You have a gym, a garden and the rooftop (where a lot of students go to smoke weed :( and drinking alcohol) Enjoy your time there !"
"Student Accomodation in Perth. I rented a twin room with my husband for 1 month and half. They have a kitchen and common area in each floor. They also have a special floor for doing laundry, so we can do the laundry whenever we want without disturbing other residents. It’s located in Central, near CBD, about 700 m walking. When we checked in, they took 200 AUD per person for deposit, and they will return it in our check out time as long as we clean (must be very clean) our room before checking out. But I haven’t got my deposit until now (after 10 days departure) because they said there was a problem for refunding it to my account. So I am still working on it now to get mine back."
"What a great place to live in. The location is great, walking distant to the CBD and Northbridge. Staff is very helpful and friendly, always there to help when you need. Highly recommended!"
"Campus Perth is the best student accommodation in Perth! I love the multicultural environment, there are activities almost everyday and the facility is just amazing! My fav spot is the rooftop❤️ I just feel like home and the staff members are always very helpful!"
"Campus Perth is beyond a joke. Property & Admissions Management is extremely condescending and rude. They lost one of my packages for 6 months and then didn’t notify me when they found it. I waited 10 days for a job position contract to be sent only to find out it was sitting at reception the entire time. Lifts are not at all well maintained, where it is a common occurrence to wait at least 5 minutes for elevator and there is usually always one out of order. HVAC systems are commonly breaking down during summer And at a current price of $476 week for a 15sqm studio, they are capitalising on the current rental crisis and taking advantage of international students who’s accomodation options are limited. I would rather live in an ants nest covered in honey than renew my lease at campus Perth. ** this is not at all directed at the RA team, they are always helpful and kind**"
