"Excellent Chinese Grocery Stores as far as the Gold Coast is concerned. They have most of the essential things any Good Chinese stores in other major cities have. Their prices though are 10-30% more on many products compared to Melbourne, which is understandable as everything here on the G.C. has to be trucked in. They accept credit cards WITHOUT any surcharges, and if you have their membership card, you can get up to 8% off which is quite a lot for the owner to part in this rather tough little market. Highly recommended for a visit and to support this good business!"
"Exvellent range though didn't feel that welcomed when i asked a question to the group of ladies at the front. I felt mocked for not understanding what a product was. So i didn't buy and left. Went to harbour Town go go mart instead."
"I frequently buy the same product every fortnight from this store. Today, the ticket indicated the regular price I pay. After paying, I realised that I had been overcharged $1.35 from the ticketed price. Showing the staff, they began to argue that the ticket was wrong... Refused to honour the price and at no point were they apologetic. I was at no point rude (a simple mistake) and had expected a refund of the difference (and perhaps a "oh sorry about that"). Instead they insisted that the register was correct - and that the two adjacent products (slightly different variants of the same brand & ticketed at the usual price I pay) BOTH had incorrect tickets. I said I wished to try a different brand (significantly larger) - 40c more than what I was overcharged. She said there would be an additional surcharge for the card transaction as their minimum card payment was $5. Again, at no point apologetic. I found this ridiculous and just asked for a straight refund. Reluctantly after a bit of eye rolling they refunded the overcharged amount - and I walked out of the store pretty annoyed. The pending refund has not registered at all... So hopefully it actually comes through. I suggest you teach your staff some customer service skills - I have been a loyal customer for a long time. If you overcharge on an item - honour the ticketed price. Other than that - their product range is good and vegetables very fresh, tea is a bit mediocre. I cannot justify more than 1 star for such sneaky business."
"Tried one of their Lychee teas the other evening, it was delicious. I don't usually like fruit teas, but it was really good."
"Good large range of Asian Groceries. Also, fresh vegetables and eggs."
