"1st time experience. Authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Friendly staff and chef who comes to ask for our opinions on their food. Small dinning room but full of African decorations. Suddenly feel like travelling in Africa. Their tea is herbal infused and tastes really nice with little sugar. The pancakes are large and spongy and little sour, very filling. The lamb dish and all other meat pastes are beautifully seasoned. Can’t wait to come back again and try the coffee. Great location just across the road to the Department of transportation. It will be good to have their flag up so people can see from a distance. Or put the colourful LED lights on the rooftop so people will know there’s a restaurant at the intersection."
"Went to Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant in Westminster yesterday after someone recommended it on this group and I was not disappointed… The decor is ethnic and beautiful.. The food was AMAZING!! We had the chicken, lamb and beef stew served with Injera and their famous coffee to finish the meals. (The coffee is VERY strong if you can handle it! Served with salty/sweet popcorn) Vegetarian options were available and equally yummmm.. Highly recommended if you want to try a different experience."
"Hands down the best Ethiopian dining experience in Perth. The venue is thoughtfully designed, and the service is impeccable given that it's only one person on the floor. The food is indescribably good. So is the coffee service. Just go already."
"Ethiopian food at Laliba is a must try, especially if you are vegan or vegetarian! Many lentil and chickpea stews packed full of flavour (so many wonderful spices). They also have cabbage dishes, potato and carrot dishes, collard greens. Injera is fermented flat bread using teff flour that has a slightly sour and tangy taste. Beyaynetu is an Ethiopian vegetable platter where they serve small portions of selected dishes on top of the injera and then extra rolled up injera on the side. You rip some injera and then scoop the food to eat. The food is rich in flavour and very filling. It's a lovely way to share a meal with family and friends. The food at Lalibela is prepared fresh and they are very humble and gracious there. 3 of us shared this platter and it was $25 each. Try the dine-in experience for a more authentic feel, you will not be disappointed!"
"Ambience ✅ Service ✅ Tasty food ✅ Overall 12/10. This was my first time coming here and the food and service was exceptional!! They cater to vegetarians and vegans. We got the vegetarian beyaynetu for 3, which is all vegan. So much flavour, huge portions and the restaurant is very nice, with a lot of Ethiopian inspiration. We will definitely be back soon."
