"Undercooked rice, stingy ingredients, inattentive service and not so fresh plates. Very bad experience here, sushi should be absolutely fresh, you won't find that here. Not recommended"
"Came to this place 19/5/23 @1900. Not busy we were actually asked to sit anywhere. There are 3 lady servers at the corner where the food comes out just chatting in their own language. So i’ve asked help as most of my orders are not in the conveyor. Lady came and told me to use my phone to order. Since they are talking i wonder why not take time to take my order. It took Took me 10 minutes to work out their app and with old phone took long to download. So ive order via my phone which couldve took me 10 seconds if the lady took my order instead. After i submitted my order the same lady came back to me offered to take my order because she was finish with the group chatting. I mean what the!!!! Why now!!!! Anyway food taste, quantity and quality are the same as what you get anywhere. Well first impression last. Im not impressed with this place and the service. They prioritise chatting than serving me. What i also dont like is that its only 7:30 pm and they are already packing up, plus the noise, cleaning, mopping besides us, eating the leftover sushis and talking loudy. The atmosphere become so wrong and i cant eat properly. I thought i was in a third world market. So when i paid Ive asked the guy what time they close and he said 8pm but google says 9pm. Come on, update your business hours. You think im just a random hater? I have proof that i ate there."
"Sashimi and spicy chicken is good. Asahi in the bottle. Tap beer ‘out of stock’. Staff attentiveness up and down like a yo yo. Overall a good place and have been coming here for 4 years since it’s open. It could be a lot better with some tweaks."
"Kyoto sushi Rundle plaza has a nice atmosphere with the art and vibe. Plenty of seating options and booths next to the train. Accessible and kid friendly as well. EDIT: On repeat visits, the food has been average at best. No range being remade, had to 'special order' chicken with cucumber and was told it was because they only have one dish washer?? No soy sauce, three chopsticks left. Previous food left on booth that we were taken to and had to ask each for it to be cleaned. . Rice wouldn't stick and had fallen apart. Common dishes took a long time to replace, even after specifically ordering when not fulfilled on the train. Service was poor. You don't expect a chat with staff, but you like to be acknowledged or asked if the meal was OK or not. Even at time of payment, not a word was spoken just the eftpos pointed at and left awkwardly alone at the till. Overall could be better, a lot better."
"I’ve been here twice and both times they’ve been enjoyable experiences. Wide choice of dishes and what isn’t there can be made. Place was clean and sanitary. It’s not the absolute best sushi I’ve ever had but it’s a nice place to go for lunch when you’re in the city and want a change."
