"I received a helix cartilage piercing a few months ago from them and it was pierced on the incorrect angle. You can barely see the earring. I am upset as now I have to pay again to get it re done by PROFESSIONALS. Don’t waste your time here I also had problems with my second lobe piercings from lovisa aswell."
"I took my 13 year old daughter and her friend in to Robina Lovisa last week so they could get their 2nd ear lobe piercing. A staff member named Kelsea did the piercings and we couldn't be happier. She took the time to reassure me (as initially I was a little worried after googling the reviews) and then explained the after care carefully to the girls. The piercings were perfectly placed and the girls didn't blink an eye while it was being done. All of the piercings look great and are looking healthy too!"
"Hi, My local store is located at Robina on the Gold Coast. Visiting this store is unpleasant for a number of reasons, which mainly concern the staff and a lack of customer service. The noise level is headache inducing. The music is too loud, which then means that the girls working there have to shout, at both each other and the customers. I have politely asked to have it turned down, but am ignored. My mum doesn’t visit anymore, because it gives her a headache. Recently when trying to purchase some Christmas earrings. I had my 4 year old nephew with me, who started shouting that the music was too loud. As he became increasingly upset, I said to an employee that he was getting upset because the music was too loud. She replied with, “okay”, then walked away and did nothing to rectify the situation. I would have immediately left, but I had no other time to pick up the earrings; the only way I could stop my nephew from crying was to hold my hands over his ears as I waited to be served. As I approached the counter, I had to use my hands to get my wallet and he started crying again. Whilst I’m trying to settle him, the girl serving then tried to up-sell me those tiny sterling silver earrings again. This shows a distinct lack of customer service, sensitivity and empathy. I explained why my nephew was crying loudly and she just shrugged her shoulders. The young manager there enjoys bossing around the other staff, which makes it feel uncomfortable to witness. As she has such a strong personality, I’m concerned that the girls working with her are too intimidated to turn down the music, or not constantly up-sell. I don’t enjoy hearing about the personal lives and drinking exploits of the staff, as well as the conversations they have with other customers. When I hear every customer being told whatever item they pick up, “looks amazing!”, I question the honesty of the feedback when I’m also told this. A degree of discretion is needed, whereby customers aren’t privy to every conversation. Additionally, attempts to up-sell are embarrassing and persistent. I only wear big earrings and I have been frequently approached by staff, whilst I am still browsing, directing me to some tiny, sterling silver earrings on the counter - I politely decline, then I go to make my purchase at the counter and a different girl tries to get me to buy them. I don’t go shopping to be harassed by loud mouthed staff, trying to talk me into buying things, with loud music which feels like you’re in a Westfield nightclub. What is even more concerning is that no attempts are made to practice social distancing in the store, putting both staff and customers at risk. I have purchased many lovely pieces of jewellery from your shop over time, but the consistently unpleasant environment in the Robina store dissuades me from visiting, which is disappointing."
"Got my helix done about 4 weeks ago and firstly they used a gun (which can’t be used on cartilage). Secondly the jewellery was bent in my ear and wasn’t the appropriate Jewellery for my piercing to begin with. My ear was left purple/bruised, I have since gone back and they told me to go to the doctor etc. I asked as to why they used the jewellery they did and they responded with its “their style”. Since then I’ve been to skin candy where they helped me remove the piercing and gave me all the CORRECT care and advice needed."
"Store has lots of nice pieces. But I have to say I was a little upset to hear staff say that customers have been annoying today. It was Christmas time and there’s lots of people out shopping but that’s how it is. They should have spoken about that in their own time. And definitely should not have spoke around customers"
