"GROOM YOUR OWN DOG Wow, what an absolute fabulous experience. I would highly recommend the one on one training session with Kim the owner and operator of W.A. Dog Grooming & Clipping Academy. What a fantastic afternoon of listening, watching, learning, and of course the opportunity of brushing, washing, blow drying and having a go at clipping my own dog. I want to thank Kim very much for sharing her expertise of 23 years, and giving ordinary people the opportunity to learn to groom their own dog, so they can take full care of their fur babies themselves. It is also a very interesting ‘behind the scenes’ opportunity, where you see how the grooming saloon works. It make you realize that there is so much more work involved in grooming than what meets the eye. Brushing and combing to get out all knots before being washed takes some time. Each pet is then washed three times, then toweled dried, before being blowed dried, which again takes ages. Once blowed dried then clipping and tidy up cutting is done. It is so much more time consuming than what I ever imagined. Then there is the ‘nature side’ of things they need to deal with daily - wee, poo, stinky smells and full anal glands. So quite a very involved procedure. I also noticed the care, love and dedication of handling the pets is amazing. So for those who want the Academy to do their clipping Kim and her staff do a brilliant job."
"Best experience I had learning how to groom my dog. Kim is full of knowledge. Definitely worth doing."
"On behalf of Monty's Place, Bussleton WA. Huge appreciation going out to WA Dog Grooming & Clipping Academy! At Monty's we perform a lot of deshed grooms. We blew up the motor on our deshed blow dryer at the end of last week. In stepped Kim and her team, and by Friday afternoon our new ChallengAir AirMax dryer and 15L of Furex Progroom products were on their way to Bussleton. By Tuesday morning our new dryer and other products were sitting in reception after the long weekend! WADGA are always professional and nothing is ever too much trouble. It really takes the stress out of getting our wholesale grooming products delivered. Wishing WA Dog Grooming & Clipping Academy every success and we can't wait to order more in the future!"
"I have been coming to WA academy for a bit now and always a lovely job done on my doggo. - I would say the prices are pretty reasonable, however, today’s job took about four hours (12:30-4:40) as it was a busy Saturday. Before and after pics added..."
"Was told the "fan" scared him while he was drying so was asked to pick him up. Arrived to see a random woman in the parking lot using a chain lead as a choke collar, his eyes bulging and bloodshot. Spoke with the owner, she told me she trimmed his head herself. Explained to her that in 5 years I'd never heard anything like it. Was told "you don't know what goes on behind closed doors." He spent the rest of the afternoon at home a nervous wreck where I found this after getting to examine him properly. Picture speaks a 1000 words. I won't be going back."
