About the Business
Welcome to Sala Thai Restaurant, located at 22 Norfolk Street in Fremantle, Australia. As an establishment that focuses on food, meal delivery, meal takeaway, and is a point of interest, we are proud to offer an unforgettable Thai food dining experience.
Thai cuisine is internationally famous for its harmonious combination of flavors. Whether you prefer spicy or milder dishes, our menu showcases the marriage of centuries-old Eastern and Western influences, resulting in something uniquely Thai. The characteristics of our food depend on who is cooking it, for whom it is cooked, and for what occasion, ensuring that there is something to suit all palates.
Unlike traditional courses, a Thai meal is served all at once, allowing diners to enjoy complimentary combinations of different tastes. A proper Thai food meal should consist of a soup, a curry dish with condiments, a dip with accompanying fish and vegetables. A spiced salad may replace the curry dish, and the soup can also be spicy. The harmony of tastes and textures within each dish and the entire meal is paramount.
We are open Sunday to Thursday from 17:30 to 21:00, and Friday to Saturday from 17:30 to 21:30. You can find us at 22 Norfolk Street, Fremantle, WA 6160.

Reviews
"I've been a customer of Sala Thai for, yes, 25 years. Normally food is great with a lovely atmosphere. Something has changed. Young waitess was lovely. First, the food has gone downhill. I used to love their Tom Kha (coconut) soup and Pad Thai. Both were unedible on my last visit. Sunday night dinner at 8.00pm 4 other tables so not busy. First we received wrong soup, tried to inform owner - senior lady but she pretended to not understand me so we gave up. Watered down, soup, was quite tastless. My Pad Thai was so sweet and gluggy, not one green in sight, I just couldn't eat it with any joy, so I left it. My husband ordered Wagu Steak , it came out as a salad with wilted old salad and honestly 5 little thin strip's of steak. At a price of over $35 he was expecting more. We were both upset and mentioned upon leaving the issues. Basically the elderly owner man just asked for $$$$ didn't acknowledge our disappointment, said soup is same price, so it doesn't matter. No apology for wrong order, let alone watered down soup. I told female owner about the food quality and she smirked at me, asked again what was wrong. I repeated myself and she just smiled. Nothing else. It was a complete nightmare of a dinner out and we'll never return, a) the food, b) the owners attitude. We didn't ask for a refund or discount but was grunted at " no money back" We ended up getting a Pizza Takeaway to eat after paying $125 for rubbish. Very disappointing for our 50th time dining there."
"Amazing Thai food with awesome touch of hospitality. The fish (snapper) was cooked in tamarind and chilli. Cooked to perfection and it was worth the price. The prawn fried rice and chicken pad Thai were tasty. However, the fish stole the show. For dessert, we have had the mango sticky rice which was delicious. Nice welcoming staff and beautiful ambience. Recommended for a date night and just a casual night out with your friends."
"Worst Thai ever. Ordered three entrees. They were not fresh, obviously reheated from left overs. Main meal was Thai salad. Very ordinary. We had looked at reviews on Tripadvisor as we had just arrived in Fremantle. Reviews rated Sala highly so it was a great disappointment to be served poor quality food."
"This was my first visit to Sala Thai and I was very impressed. I have eaten Thai food in various restaurants around Australia and the world over the past 30 years and this was up there for quality, freshness, flavour, speed and value. The portions were generous, the spice and balance of heat, sour, sweet and tangy was lovely on all five dishes we ordered. The prices were very reasonable and we ended up with five takeaway containers of leftovers to take home. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was cosy but not cramped. Highly recommended and we will certainly be back."
"Had a lovely dinner there, we had the stuffed chicken wings for entrée which tasted good, Red Goat Curry and stir fry chicken with cashew nuts, really like the red curry, the goat meat was very tender and tasted great. The meal was served quick and friendly services. Will certainly go back."
