"Dropped my car off two weeks ago to the team at automasters. Prior to dropping it off I rang up and informed them of my gearbox was being sluggish and is skipping into second gear I also asked them to do a full inspection and service on the car as I had just bought it off Facebook. I dropped it off again stating what was wrong and they assured me they will have a good thorough look. I received a phone call by 11.30am which was very early for a car needing a full service and inspection, telling me my car was already finished and on its test drive. I asked them about the transmission skipping and being sluggish and they assured me that the skip wasn't happening when they drove the car and the gearbox and car was completely fine, which didn't seem right as I was having these problems consistently since I bought the car. Fortunately I didn't have to pay for the service which I did appreciate even tho it was the least they could do as I stated the main two reasons for me dropping the car off weren't met and they didn't clear my service light code so I wasn't sure if the service was even done correctly. As soon as I went to drive away the skip into second happened again and the sluggish gearbox kept performing the way I had explained. When I got home I noticed as well the coolant wasn't topped up nor was the water in my wipers making me think did they even do anything with my car. The gearbox hasn't gotten any better so I decided to book it in at Osbourne park Chrysler as im a cleaner and I need a reliable car to get me from A to B. Chrysler had my car the entire day and found the transmission oil was very burnt and they found metal shavings in the transmition which means automasters never even checked my transmition otherwise they would have found this out themselves. Two weeks later and now I'm finding out I need a whole new gearbox or a gearbox rebuilt after being told by automasters my gearbox was perfect. Extremely disgusted in this service as I feel being a female yet again I've been taken advantage of in the mechanical field, I took my car there thinking they were a reputable company. I definitely won't be bringing any future cars back or be recommending them to anyone. One of the worst experiences I've had with my car and very disappointmened in the automasters team."
