About the Business
Welcome to G.O. Edwards Park, located at Burswood Road, 173 in Burswood, Australia. Our institution is a renowned establishment, park, point of interest, and tourist attraction that offers a range of activities and amenities for visitors of all ages.
One of the highlights of our park is the Vic Park Markets, which are organized by the Rotary Club of Victoria Park with the support of the Rotary Club of South Perth Burswood and the Town of Victoria Park. These vibrant markets take place every Sunday morning from 8am to 12pm, offering a diverse range of stalls selling local produce, crafts, and much more.
For our younger visitors, Fusion's Mobile Youth Hub makes a regular appearance at John Macmillan Park every Thursday during the school term. This mobile hub provides a safe and engaging space for young people to socialize, participate in activities, and access support services.
At G.O. Edwards Park, we are committed to sustainability and environmental consciousness. As part of our efforts, the Town has recently started resurfacing Ceres Lane using 100% recycled asphalt, showcasing our dedication to eco-friendly practices.
We are also proud to announce the completion of the largest underground power project in St James, East Victoria Park, and Bentley. This project has been a collaborative effort between neighboring local governments and Western Power, ensuring a reliable and efficient power supply for the community.
In line with our commitment to cutting red tape, the Council has partnered with Canning and Gosnells to introduce the Simplified Trading Partnership Permit. This innovative permit allows mobile food businesses to trade at approved events in all three local government areas, streamlining the process and supporting local vendors.
Our vision for the Town of Victoria Park is to create a dynamic place for everyone, and this is reflected in our Strategic Community Plan 2022-2032. This plan serves as a roadmap for our long-term goals, aspirations, and priorities, guiding our decision-making process to enhance the town for all residents.
We are constantly working towards improving our town, whether it's through small maintenance works or major public space updates. You can stay informed about the projects we are currently working on by visiting our website.
The Town of Victoria Park is also in the process of preparing a new draft Local Planning Scheme No. 2 (LPS2) to shape the development of our growing and diverse community. This scheme will replace the existing Town Planning Scheme No. 1 (TPS1) and serve as the primary statutory document for land development within the town.
Located at 99 Shepperton Road, our Administration Building is the central hub for all town-related inquiries and services. Our friendly staff are always ready to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
As we honor and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Whadjuk Noongars from the Noongar nation of Australia, we pay our respects to their past, present, and emerging leaders. Please note that this website may contain images, voices, and videos of deceased persons, which may cause sadness or distress for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Visit G.O. Edwards Park and experience the vibrant atmosphere, community spirit, and natural beauty that our institution and the Town of Victoria Park have to offer.

Reviews
"Its a very nice and Calm place. If you come with your family, you can enjoy your time."
"Nice little park across the street from the Casino. The place is rather quiet with plenty of shade, BBQs, water fountains, public toilets and playground for kids. There are also gym equipment and a couple of footpaths to go around the park."
"Big nice park. Perfect for exercising and walking. Dog park at the other end of the park. Public toilets and 1 H free parking week days. Free weekends"
"It's a hidden treasure in the midst of commercial and casino precincts right next to the bustling traffic on Great Eastern Highway. Great location for weddings, family gatherings or outdoor events for young students, or anyone who is interested in wildlife within natural lake environments! There are BBQ facilities close to the lake, children's playground, youth exercise facilities and also the new public toilets. The settings within the park are excellent for the young and old, who may also like to have a relaxing place to spend some time with. The only thing at the moment is the access to the park where the lake is, due to some modifications around the area."
"This park has three main attractions. First and topmost is the beautiful lake with couple of fountains that runs 24/7. Park has birds and their chirping makes the environment refreshing. Second attraction is the children playground that has some unique structures and equipment that kids will thoroughly enjoy. Finally, the last being is the Heritage tower that tells the history of the indigenous. It is again an interesting experience."
