"Normally I have a decent experience here but today I observed one of the staff being extremely rude, unprofessional, demeaning and racist to two African women. One lady didn’t know English well and was being supported in their language by her friend. The man kept telling them to go and argue elsewhere even though they weren’t arguing ( i understood their language). They were helping each other being up the items. He kept motioning them to “shoo” and hurry up as they brought their produce to the counter and kept smirking as he did this. There was only one other customer who was waiting on the other counter who mane in way after the women. Other staff could’ve helped him if needed. This man in the picture thought the women wouldn’t say anything to him because their English wasn’t perfect. It was disgusting to watch. It’s like he was showing off to the other customer (also Middle Eastern). It’s like he wanted to show him that the African women were nothing and less human than him. This behaviour is disgusting and I had to step in and ask him why he was being disrespectful. And also there was no apology from him. At the end, he picked up a knife that was around and started walking to the produce area not too far from where we were. Whether or not this was a threat, it was not okay to do this when being held accountable for his actions."
