"the only thing great about the hotel is the excellent location - near the Perth station and bus depot, multiple supermarkets and food options. room itself is very basic. you will find it comfortable if you're a hobbit, able to shrink yourself like Antman or if you have body twisting skills. they don't even provide toothbrushes! No microwave. TV channels were very limited was here during winter - no heating in the room walls and door was paper thin - there's no need for an alarm - you will be rudely awakened by housekeeping or your next door neighbors just chatting! there was also last minute water works and i find it atrocious that the hotel charges credit card transaction fees to guests. pls pay in cash instead. great place to stay if you just need a place to store your luggage and to sleep at night. definitely not for lounging"
"Stayed for 5 nights Clean and modern rooms Comfy beds - pillows are good Shower pressure is really good with hot water Fridge and kettle included Room service was also very good. Everyday they topped up the tea, coffee and milk for us Receptionists were very nice Big TV included in the room Wi-Fi worked well Overall a good place to stay. Only downside was people shouting outside the hotel on a few occasions during the night, but this isn’t really the hotels fault as they can’t control this. Overall I defo recommend this hotel"
"I find it hard to believe that after 31 loyal stays at the Pensione Hotel in Perth, I am leaving this regrettable review. Over time, I have observed the technological advancement of the hospitality industry, with countless establishments in Australia adapting to changes and introducing cashless transactions. However, Pensione Hotel seems to have chosen to stay stubbornly in the past. Imagine my dismay when, upon arrival, I was informed that they do not accept the bond security to be paid by electronic tapping, a method that every other hotel I have visited in this country accepts without question. This in itself was baffling, as it is no longer 2020 but 2023, and contactless payments have been the norm for several years now. To add to the absurdity, they insisted on a physical card for payment. It's been years since I last carried one, relying solely on digital payments for their convenience and security. To my utter shock, the reception was unyielding, stating that I couldn't stay unless I produced a physical card. This, even after confirming that the room had already been paid for, and I had provided my driver's license as ID. What followed was a tedious hour-long argument with the front desk, trying to get them to understand the impracticality and outdated nature of their policy. It was a stressful ordeal, no one should have to haggle over such a trivial matter after a long journey. Only after much back and forth did they reluctantly accept the image of a non-business card that I found on a banking app. The hotel's refusal to adapt to modern payment methods and the unnecessary inconvenience caused by their outdated policies have left me with no choice but to reconsider my loyalty. Sadly, this will be my last visit to Pensione Hotel."
"This is not a great hotel. It's an OK hotel, but at the price, the value-for-money doesn't stack up. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean, but beyond that: 1) Room layout is strange. Rooms are small. 2) Water pressure sucks to the point where showers take twice as long to rinse off soap/shampoo. 3) Housekeeping doesn't clean cups/utensils, doesn't clean bathroom sufficiently, towels left on bed rather than bathroom. 4) No gym and no agreement with local gyms. 5) Rooms really are strange. Why does the bathroom door not close without hitting the shower? Why is there no storage in the shower for toiletries? Why is the bathroom light switch on the outside, next to the door, almost inevitably leading to turning on the wrong light if you get up to go to the bathroom? Again, at the price being asked, it's just not worth the money."
"Positives : Great location short walk to shopping area, clean, bed is very very comfortable, staff very helpful. Negatives : Room a bit on the small side. No iron in the room - although they provided one promptly when asked, very limited hanging space, no shelf in shower so had to keep bending down to floor for soap and shampoo."
