"Contacted North Shore Pools about a pool build later in the year. Initially I received a prompt response with an indicative price. I responded to arrange a site visit and formal quote to progress the build but didn’t get a response. Followed up again 2 weeks later and now almost a month later I’ve still had no follow up email or even a phone call. All pool builders are flat out right now but to not even have the courtesy to respond to 2 follow up emails, even just to say they’re too busy to take on new work, is totally unprofessional. Meanwhile, they’re still regularly advertising on Instagram looking for work. Thankfully I’ve since found and engaged a professional pool builder that understands basic customer service."

"A decision to put in a new pool is not one that most people make overnight. It involves a lot of planning, research etc, which added with emotion, makes it one of the bigger decisions that a lot of families will undertake. In choosing the right company to undertake our new pool project, we wanted an experienced business that we could trust to manage the whole process from start to finish. "“Putting in a pool was a big decision for us. The odd shape of our small front yard produces considerable engineering hurdles and we’d been told by a couple of pool builders that it would be simply impossible without spending a fortune we don’t have. We put the whole idea in the “too hard” basket for a couple of years. Then a friend recommended we get an opinion from North Shore Pools and Landscaping. Steve Hood came over and viewed the same yard as an exciting challenge rather than an impossible feat. He gave us a quote that didn’t strike fear in our hearts and we decided to take the plunge. The fact that North Shore is a family-owned business is immediately obvious. Steve and wife Mandy take such great pride in their work that you get the genuine sense this pool means as much to them as it does to you. They want to deliver – and they certainly did in our case. Every stage of our pool journey went exactly to Steve’s plan. There were no nasty surprises or unexpected expenses along the way. He and Mandy communicated with us constantly throughout the process so that we always knew what would be happening in the next week, which tradesman would be doing what and when key decisions had to be made. Along the way Steve made some terrific suggestions about landscaping options to complement the pool and mask our somewhat ugly front wall. We took up each of these suggestions because we’d already developed absolute trust in his vision and in his understanding of our budget. We just couldn’t be happier with the results. For a couple of months our front yard became home to Steve and his team – all clearly handpicked because they’re good blokes who take pride in their work. They would clean up their work space every afternoon, even hosing down our driveway before they’d leave. That sort of service is all too rare. We’re not ashamed to say that we actually miss them. We are so thrilled with our pool and still pinch ourselves that it’s actually come to fruition. It’s transformed our home and, come summer, our lifestyle too. We sincerely can’t recommend North Shore pools highly enough.”"
