"My family had a booking for my 21st birthday. When we arrived the restaurant was full and we were told our "table isn't ready yet". The manager came and told us that the previous booking on our table had arrived half an hour late and they were just about to bring out dessert so we only had another 10 minute wait. We ended up waiting over 40 minutes outside in the cold without a single word of apology. Food came out slowly but was good, and the chef came out later to apologise. Waitstaff was also friendly. Not once did we receive so much as an apology from the manager about the wait on our table. Very disappointing."

"Favourite Italian Restaurant in Perth. This evening my son, Tom, and I enjoyed a lovely degustation at Prego's Italian Restaurant, Floreat. Everything was terrific, the food, service and setting. My senses were fully engaged with the first entree, it looked terrific and smelt divine and a taste to match...consequently no photo of the mushroom and prawn dish. The ricotta and spinach tortellini was cooked as it should be and served with a delicious sauce. We both chose the twice cooked duck with crispy skin...it was perfectly cooked being moist, tender and flavoursome. The dessert was light and delicious and a perfect finish to our meal. As an aside: at a table near us was another Mother and son and I overheard her say that the squid was amongst the best she had ever tasted. A few bites later and she exclaimed that it was possibly the BEST squid on the PLANET. High praise indeed. I really loved this lady's enthusiasm."

"The food here is very good with melt in your mouth gnocchi, and perfectly cooked scallops and skin on poultry. Flavours are also delicious although there's the odd fusion flavour here and there that tastes strange together. Also, the potato puree with the duck was almost watery. The restaurant can get quite busy for the staffing level so it's better to book ahead as the staff may be a little stressed out with walk ins and you may be unable to get some of the set course meals."
