"My experience at hipe club have been fine due to getting there just before they opened but the manager at hipe is the same as the new place “Purple” that is close and down the alley way. I ended up having a seizure due to so many people in such a tiny space. The security guards initially thought that “I was too drunk” even though I had no alcohol at Purple and they were aggressive to my friend that was trying to help me get out of the venue. Only one of the security guards was actually considerate. I went outside and layed on the ground and another security said “what do we do”. Considering Purple is a night club and have a duty of care for people, I was concerned and didn’t want the same issue for somebody else due to lack of training. I called up last night to have a civil conversation with the manager. The manager asked how I was but unfortunately through out the conversation he was rude, not considerate, had no empathy what so ever and very defensive. He followed up by saying “Why are you calling” with an attitude. I was lost for words due to how unprofessional he was. We kept going back and forth as he didn’t get the hint of what I was trying to say. The manager said first aid and cpr wasn’t mandatory and that it was not needed and that seizures were not covered in the course anyways so it’s not their fault. I know that some security guards took initiative to get their first aid and cpr but in my situation, even doing a quick google search could’ve helped. The manager ended up blaming my friends and that their was nothing the staff could’ve done. All I wanted from the phone call was an apology and that it was a learning lesson and that they will do better but I ended up finding out that the manager is rude and doesn’t care for individuals that come into Hipe and Purple. To summarise the manager is horrible, just wants money and doesn’t care of anyones wellbeing."

"Que was 1hr 45 mins at 9.30pm. And I have bruised ribs from people pushing from behind to try and get in quicker. Security were so rude and did nothing to try and stop people pushing and getting crushed. I left as soon as I got to the front because it was scary and dangerous."

"Wouldn’t give them any stars ⭐️ after bar manager pushed a girlfriend into the wall unnecessary violence ended up with her being taken to hospital and her partner and my partner receiving black eyes and covered in bruises! They need to educate their bouncers on controlling situations rather than fueling them - there was 3 bouncers punching on our mate at once !!"

"Opening hours never ever reflect advertised times. Manager threw my sisters phone across the parking lot to the point it was destroyed over allegedly stolen paper signs. She has sought counseling for this interaction. The aggression was overpowered. A bald guy in a floral shirt. I was scared. People should be scared to come here. Staff are aggressive."

"Used to be a good week night place to dance the night away. Not sure what happened - 3 bounces on the door and a door girl at 1am on a Wednesday and got told "managers discretion" for a lock out period for a club that's meant to be open at 5am - wouldn't be impressed if it was my business and the paid help wasn't sticking to the advertised hours - atleast up date google opening hours and save people the taxi fare there if you plan on closing early. We won't be back."
