"I’ve Been to nearly every Indian restaurant on the coast and bay leaf would have to be in the top three in terms of taste and quality of the food. The butter chicken is my go to and it’s absolutely bursting with flavour. The vegetable samosas are crunchy and dipped in the chutney sauce is to absolute die for. The cheese and garlic naan is also very well done and isn’t a dry cardboard mess like most places. Always great service and very friendly people. Nothing better than a meal bursting with flavour after a hard days work and you don’t feel like cooking."

"Bay Leaf has been providing us with delicious food for the past couple of years (not exclusively - we buy our coco-pops and plantains elsewhere). In that time, we are yet to be disappointed. We usually receive enough food to stretch out for several days by adding our own garden vegetables and don't buy rice (we have rice), so it's an economical option for people who couldn't be faffed grinding 76 spices when cooking for two. We have never received anything other than polite and prompt service. Perhaps some of the bad reviews may be put down to staffing problems (it's hard to get good help these days) or attitude of customers (note that it's sometimes worth reading other posts by a negative reviewer; Briley for instance just seems to go through life being offended by customer service, despite contradicting herself about what she ordered at Gong Cha). I hope Bay Leaf can stay in Palmwoods and not be driven out by the ever-encroaching tide of hucksters and tax rorts (sorry, 'homewares' shops and 'wellness' centres)."

"Sharing this review concerning management. Very bad experience at bay leaf due to disrespectful service. Their customer service is not up to standard and is atrocious to say the least. Both owners confronted me about a private issue that concerned their staff. However, continued to target me while raising their voices while a customer was waiting to be served. Very toxic work environment for young adults. Would NOT recommend!"

"Went to the Bay Leaf in Palmwoods today as a local wanting to support local business instead of buying my "Friday treat meal" from big takeaway chains. I ordered a large medium lamb korma with a large basmati rice and garlic naan bread. I was impressed firstly with the service, the staff were friendly but told me the wait would be 35mins. To my great delight they gave me my order after not even 15mins. Taste of the curry was authentic, I could taste the spices they put in, very yummy and not overly sweet like I find some Indian places make their curries. I ordered medium but it wasn't hot at all so not sure what happened there. (and I'm not like a hard core chilli girl, I like a little bit, can't deal with anything drastic). Rice was yummy and the naan bread was well made, only feedback I would have for the owners is to use freshly pressed garlic as the garlic tasted like it was out of a jar and I think that really makes a difference to good garlic taste. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend! Thank you for a delicious lamb korma."
