"In the Mercure Hotel by the water. Nice outlook. Easy parking in the hotel car park, sign in for a 14 hr free pass. Nice menu, good food, fast service. We had the a la crate breakfast but they also had a smorgasbord full cooked or continental breakie too."
"I stayed at the hotel (Mercure) for two nights. The first night I decided to eat at the restaurant. I chose the linguini accompanied by the prawn and mango salad. It was absolutely superb. Topped off by the melt in you mouth cheesecake, two glasses of excellent Riesling and outstanding service, I couldn't resist trying it out again on the second night. It failed to disappoint. The lamb rump accompanied by grilled broccolini was divine. The Pinot Gris was another fine addition to the wine list. And I had to have the cheesecake again. A very fine restaurant that would rate very highly were it on the Melbourne restaurant scene."
"They clearly don’t know how to do a steak, medium rare on a scotch is not that hard, yet it was medium-well done at very push! At the prices they want they need to up their game! The atmosphere was of a RSL standard (including the meal level honestly). The wait staff were nonexistent in checking in on meal quality and drinks (a shame because we where ordering cocktails and would have gone more). Not even fully booked to warrant that excuse. This place is heavily let down by staffs eagerness and kitchens ability. I wouldn’t even recommend at all, go to a RSL or pub for a meal."
"The food was horrible - avoid! Stayed at the hotel and thought we would book down stairs after being told At reception they were very busy tonight and if we didn’t want to miss out we should book - we should have missed out. My sister and I had the parpadelle pasta with prawns and crab the crab was non existent and the prawns were all different sizes like they had used some small school prawns and one normal large prawn from the bottom of the freezer, the sauce tasted like it had fish sauce added and was so sickly sweet it had the flavor profile of a pad see ew but with a half bowl of sauce and not a pasta. My mum had the risotto and it too was sweet!? So we paid the $309 for our bill of 5 people and we’re very disappointed!!!"
"Had a fantastic buffet breakfast here this morning after our morning ride. After a snappy 10kms, we really felt like a satisfying brekkie. Broad range of breakfast treats to choose from. From a full hot breakfast to cereals of all kids, to pastries, birchers and pastries. Wow!One of our servers, Danny, was great. For a teenager, he was very helpful, attentive and could hold an adult conversation with us .. which is a breath of fresh air these days. We will definitely be back."
