"My wife and I were looking for a special place to have a meal, it wasn't a special occasion just wanted lovely atmosphere with great service in an old charm setting. We certainly found it with Strangers restaurant. Couldnt recommend this higher if you are wanting a special dinner out. The service by both our waiters was great, friendly and professional. We opted to go to the Lucinda bar first for pre dinner drink and then to our table. You either choose a 2 course or 3 course meal, and the value is quite reasonable - we opted for the 2 course meal and also ordered a bottle of red. When ordering the 2 course my wife chose entree and main, while I chose main and dessert. A nice way to share. My wife had the red emperor while I had the steak. Both delicious and well prepared. This is a fine dining restaurant and doesn't disappoint. Be careful, we were walking around trying to find the entrance, you need to go down Alice street towards the freeway to the Parliamentary Annexure for security checkin, bring your driver's license or some form of identification. That was a downer not knowing the location of the entrance - the booking through Open Table warned us of photo id. The price we shared includes pre dinner drinks and a bottle of red."
"Located within the confines of the beautiful Parliament House, the Strangers Restaurant offers a thoughtfully curated dining experience. The service is great and the menu varies with events like the High Tea as well as Christmas in July. It’s an utterly charming and quaint restaurant that must really be experienced for yourself."
"The high tea was very appealing and appetising, service was very good, the dining room and decor was very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience"
"We had a great dining experience here. The five course menu and matching wines was superb. Although the portions were small, they were meticulously thought out and delicious. The wines were so well paired with the food and the ambience unique (albeit a tad cold). The wait staff was so kind and lovely with special shout out to Andres who lifted the already amazing experience even higher and to Jarryd for his friendly welcome."
"This experience was perfect. 5 stars for everything including the harpist who played beautifully for the entire visit of our high tea. Parking in the city is a non event so we took public transport."
