Welcome to the website for the Advanced Breast Cancer Group, located in West End, Australia. We are a Queensland-wide service that is specifically designed to provide support for women with secondary breast cancer, as well as their partners and families.

Our institution aims to cater to women who have been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer and are seeking information and support. We also welcome women, families, and friends who would like to learn more about living with advanced breast cancer and benefit from sharing their experiences. Additionally, we offer support to health professionals who work with women and families affected by metastatic breast cancer.

As a statewide service, we provide support to women throughout Queensland via videoconference. Our services are free of charge and are specifically tailored for those with metastatic cancer. We offer a range of resources, including a weekly support group, workshops for women and their families, and a variety of DVD resources. Our book, "A Darker Shade of Pink – The Story of the Advanced Breast Cancer Group," is available in both hard copy and ebook formats.

The group meets weekly through videoconference and is funded by Queensland Health. Many women join our group to connect with others who are facing similar challenges and to learn how to cope with living with advanced breast cancer. Our group has been running since 1999 and is open to all women in Queensland with a diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer. We strive to provide access to our services for women in rural and remote areas, as well as those who are unable to attend in person.

The Advanced Breast Cancer Group offers a variety of resources, including our three DVDs, which are available at no cost. Over the years, we have collected video clips filmed at our workshops, including excerpts from Q&A sessions with specialists in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.
