Born and raised in Brisbane, Dr Todhunter obtained her medical degree from the prestigious University of Queensland in 1980. She furthered her education by earning a Diploma in Obstetrics in 1986, and a Diploma in Sexual Health Medicine from the University of Sydney in 1992. With this extensive background, Dr Todhunter brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.

Dr Todhunter's medical journey began at the Repatriation General Hospital Greenslopes, where she spent three years caring for veterans. Following this, she gained invaluable experience as a Registrar in various medical disciplines at the Mackay Base Hospital, including two years in emergency and retrieval medicine.

In 1990, Dr Todhunter moved to Sydney, where she worked at St Vincent's Hospital as a Registrar in the HIV Unit for two years. She then spent another two years in a nearby general practice, providing comprehensive care to patients with HIV/AIDS, including in-home palliative care. Since returning to Brisbane in 1994, Dr Todhunter has been practicing general medicine, specializing in women's health, men's health, children's health, sexual health, and antenatal care. She is also experienced in providing Shared Care to pregnant women attending hospitals in the greater Brisbane area.

Dr Todhunter goes above and beyond for her patients, offering home care for those who are unable to visit the practice due to illness or frailty. Additionally, she continues to provide care to existing patients who transition into Nursing Homes within a reasonable distance from the practice.

With extensive experience in gay and lesbian health, Dr Todhunter has been catering to the health needs of patients with HIV infection since 1987. She is an S100 prescriber for HIV medications and can also provide PEP. Furthermore, Dr Todhunter specializes in addiction medicine, having been a Methadone prescriber since 1992, and also prescribes Buprenorphine. These opioid substitutes are exclusively available for existing patients of the practice.

Dr Todhunter is also certified to perform Diving Medicals for recreational divers, ensuring their safety and well-being. In addition to her work at Greenslopes Family Practice, she dedicates two mornings per week as a Visiting Medical Officer at the Brisbane Sexual Health Clinic.
