"They opened at 9am instead of all others opened at 9.30,I walked in it is an old bank but totally clean and tidy. 3 people before me and 4 behind me. There was two tellers ready and very positive and polite about opening a new simple debit Visa card. All I had to do was sign a form about my account and then the card would be in the post within 8 working days. Then I had to come in to sort out pin which I could choose if not used already, took 10 minutes. Disabled parking and access right at there front door. Public toilets 15 metres away just in shop entrance and 2 drink machines. I'm with NAB to but they are lucky to open on time and usually 1 teller for a line up of 8-10 people. I've waited in line for easily 20-30 minutes. Often the money machine isn't working so more waiting. I think I'll go to westpack now for all cards. Atm there."
"As a mother of two small children I went to the effort of getting my children babysat so I could go in and open an account with Westpac. Upon arriving at Westpac, I was told that there was no one available to help me that day and I would have to make an appointment for another day. I felt dismissed and that my business was not wanted. I left nearly crying feeling that it would be at least another week before I would be able to my children babysat and get back there and I needed the account ASAP. I went home and opened an account with ING online in 5minutes. I'm taking my business elsewhere sorry Westpac!"
