"Dr. Bardia Taghavibayat is an extraordinary medical oncologist who began caring for my mother in January 2022. My mother travelled to Melbourne from northern Victoria to seek medical treatment for what we thought at the time, were minor gastrointestinal issues, having received sub-standard care in a regional hospital. She was referred to Dr Taghavibayat and he very quickly diagnosed her with Stage 4 metastatic cancer. This was devastating for our family, however the knowledge, care and dedication that Dr Taghavibayat gave to Mum was just incredible. My Mum attended the infusion centre at Holmesglen hospital in Moorabbin and was seen by Dr Taghavibayat every time. He was incredibly thorough with Mum’s care and symptom management. I truly believe that it was his knowledge and treatment plan that allowed her to extend and maintain her quality of life for as long as she did. I know that Dr Taghavibayat shares his high level of knowledge and attentiveness to all his patients, I don’t believe he ever takes a day off. I’m aware that Dr Taghavibayat also extends this professional, respectful and caring manner towards other medical /nursing staff. On many occasions Registered Nurses in the Infusion Centre and on the Wards, have expressed their relief to me that our Mum was a patient of Dr Taghavibayat, as he is very easy to contact, should the need arise. Dr Taghavibayat was very generous to me as Mum's carer with his time and expertise. He would take the time to explain why certain symptoms were occurring and how to treat them, while Mum was at home with me. We are so very fortunate to have Dr Taghavibayat working within our hospital system. He demonstrates outstanding qualities in the field of cancer treatment and management. Drummond Family"

"Chemo There are two reasons I am writing this review. Firstly, if you are like me and the word chemo envelopes you in dread then you are probably drawing on the reputation of chemo from many years ago. I can honestly say that fatigue was the only side effect that could not be managed with medication. The Oncologist and staff, and the staff at the infusion centre were so knowledgeable and approachable during my chemo experience. They were proactive and I felt well versed in the prevention of problems arising. They encouraged me to speak up if I had any troubles at all and they very quickly provided solutions to the problems. My chemo came after losing a kidney to a high-grade cancer which was not contained but fortunately had not penetrated other organs. My body was learning to live with one kidney while being treated with some heavy chemo. The second reason for the review is that I would recommend Bardia Bayat my Oncologist, his team and the team at the Infusion Centre at Holmesglen Private Hospital in Moorabbin. Bardia always took the time to answer my many questions. I felt throughout the experience that he was looking after my health as well as my peace of mind."

"John Shelbourn Over two years ago I had fluid around my lungs and I was in Holmesglen Hospital where I met Dr Bardia. The fluid was cancerous. I had mesothelioma. Dr Bardia, my oncologist, looked after me and explained what it was all about. It was a scary situation and what would happen to me was was a real worry. Dr Bardia spelled out what was likely to happen, but he was especially reassuring, telling me of all the developments I might expect, which put at my ease. Dr Bardia has been at my side over the whole time, which is so reassuring and calming. I spend a lot of time in the Infusion Centre at the Hospital where Sue and Ranhi and the other staff members are very encouraging, kind, helpful and understanding. I have had chemotherapy, radiotherapy and I am now undergoing immunotherapy and without Dr Bardia’s support this journey would have been much more difficult. He is always available to answer questions and talk over treatment. I receive excellent care and treatment from Dr Bardia and the staff at Holmesglen."
