Psychology Trauma & Mindfulness 784 Esplanade, Mornington, Victoria 3931
About the Business
Welcome to Psychology Trauma & Mindfulness, located at Mornington, Esplanade, 784 in Australia. As an establishment focused on health and well-being, we provide a comprehensive trauma treatment service on the Mornington Peninsula.
While the government roadmap for returning to a post-COVID "normal" is being implemented in the community, we have resumed face-to-face sessions for our existing clients, with necessary COVID restrictions in place. In accordance with current government recommendations and Australian Psychological Society (APS) advice, the wearing of surgical face masks is required during appointments. However, we also continue to offer telehealth appointments for those who prefer it.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Centre is currently operating at full capacity and we are unable to accept any new referrals. However, we are reviewing the situation regularly and this position may change. Rest assured, we are committed to protecting our clients and staff by implementing social distancing measures and increased hygiene practices within the Centre.
Our dedicated admin and reception staff are available as always to address your enquiries, schedule appointments, and provide guidance on accessing and utilizing telephone and telehealth sessions. Our psychologists are still attending the Centre and are ready to provide support and therapy as usual. In the event that any psychologist needs to self-isolate, we have arrangements in place for them to continue offering telehealth/telephone sessions from their home offices.
To our referrers, we understand that this pandemic may pose challenges for your practice, and we want to assure you that we are here to assist any patients you have referred to us for treatment. We are currently unable to accept new referrals but are regularly reviewing the situation.
We acknowledge that these are uncertain and anxiety-provoking times for many of us. However, we want to remind you that our PTMC community is exceptional, and together, we will overcome these challenges.
At our office, we take the necessary precautions to protect our clients and help slow the spread of the coronavirus. We understand that trauma can be associated not only with dramatic events but also with gradual or unrelenting emotional and psychological experiences. Our team is experienced in treating conditions such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which can develop following exposure to a traumatic event.
We are here to support you, our team, and our community during this time of uncertainty. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. Together, we will navigate through these challenging times.

Reviews
"If you are suffering from trauma, PTSD, depression or anxiety this is the place to seek help. I have suffered from trauma related symptoms for years, and have many years of experience with other therapists, but Dr Margaret Walker is by far the best trauma specialist I have found. With hard work from me and her professional therapy and support I have had a great outcome! The staff are kind and caring. I would recommend them highly for EMDR, CBT, mindfulness and general counselling. It is well worth waiting for an appointment."
"Fantastic"
"Completely disregard Matt Halls review I have being seeing my psychologist at the centre for awhile. All psychologists there are professional and caring. Yes at times they are busy but not a six months waiting. They have a cancellation list and the receptionist are on the ball. They except NDIS victims of crime and mental health plans."
"Do not bother with this place. They tell you it's a 6 month wait, then when the 6 months is up, they tell you it will be another 6 months. Who knows how long this goes on for but a 12 month + wait is simply ludicrous and to keep people's hopes up is unprofessional. Not to mention they will palm you off to any of their Drs even if you have a referal to a specific one."
