"Most salty awful Indian I have ever eaten. Better to buy from Aldi .. I never review but really need to warn others.. this is terrible… threw in the bin! And $80!"
"Ambiance is great, Service is bit slow but the food is excellent...Restaurant owner himself cook food here which is the best thing..he humble & kind. Must try Dal Makhani."
"I went for dinner last night, and enjoyed the entire experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ambience, and the food were delightful. I definitely have to recommend the butter chicken fried momo’s! They were delicious. Definitely going to come again."
"We had a disappointing evening here on a rainy night in May, despite having driven across town based on many pos reviews. The place was empty when we arrived just after 6pm, which is never a good sign. Eventually a few other diners arrived: A family of four and a couple, so the total complement of in-house diners for the evening was eight, although I did notice a few people arriving to collect take-away orders. The décor is bright and colourful with faux brick walls, low hanging, mood lamps, wooden and plastic furniture, a fish tank, and lots of greenery. It’s a large, airy space with plenty of room between tables. Acoustics for obvious reasons were good and we were easily able to converse. Toilets are at the back behind the restaurant in a rather dark alley, so take your phone torch to help find them, although there are sensor lights to guide you. There’s a parking area right outside the restaurant that serves the little shopping and eating hub in which CnC is situated. There were two young and inexperienced waiters on duty: they were neatly dressed and polite, but clearly untrained, lacking in confidence and unable to offer even basic advice about the dishes or the right kind of wine to have with the food. Service though was fast. Drinks, entrees and main courses came out quickly and in the correct order. The food wasn’t anything to rave about either. We ordered a selection of dishes including samosas and “bhel poori” for entrees, and lamb saagwala and “bhindi masala”, (that’s okra cooked with onions and spices) for mains. The samosas were about the best dish of the night, with a crispy outer coating and fresh vegetarian filling. The “bhel poori”, a kind of mixture of onion, tomatoes and cucumbers, spiced up with a tamarind chutney, was fresh and flavoursome. My saagwala lamb was not as tender as I would have liked and the okra had an unpleasant, slightly sour, burned taste. The cheese naan was not very cheesy. We ended with our fave Gulab jamun and ice cream dessert, which was nicely presented, sweet and syrupy. Serving sizes were average, tending to the small side. All up and including three drinks, we paid 83 pesos for that lot, which I guess is a fair price for the quantity of food and drink that we had, but given the amateurish service, average food and lack of ambience, I didn’t feel that it was good value for money."
