At Danni DayCare, we celebrate the rich diversity of Australian culture, and recently, during Happy NAIDOC week, it was heartwarming to witness our children engaging in activities that fostered their understanding of Aboriginal culture. They enthusiastically made boomerangs, allowing them to gain a deeper appreciation for the traditions and history of our First Nations people.

In addition to cultural exploration, our children also engage in creative endeavors. For Mother's Day, they wrote heartfelt poems, showcasing their developing language and literacy skills. This aligns with our focus on learning outcomes, particularly in the area of children's overall development and learning. By using play as a tool for investigation and exploration, our children acquire essential skills and knowledge.

We also prioritize the well-being of our children, and our curriculum includes activities that promote emotional and social growth. Through various experiences, they learn to trust and confide in others, fostering a sense of security and belonging.

One of the highlights at Danni DayCare is our educational programs during school holidays. Currently, our school-aged children are immersed in the exciting world of engineering as they construct Ferris Wheels. This project not only supports learning outcome four but also encourages children to become confident and engaged learners. They develop problem-solving, research, and investigation skills, preparing them for future academic challenges.

During festive seasons, such as Easter, our children's creativity takes center stage. They eagerly make Easter hats and baskets, providing them with opportunities to explore their imagination and ideas through play. These activities also promote the development of fine motor skills and an appreciation for colors, which are essential aspects of early years learning and development.
