"Don't eat here if you want to actually know what the staff is saying to you. Made me think I need hearing aids. Was asked to wait to be seated, told the waitress that I'd like a table for 2, she just looked at me dead-pan and said "okay" and did not proceed with showing me to a table, so I just went and found one, to then be told by a different waitress that I couldn't sit there with no explanation so I went somewhere else. Food came quickly and was amazing. Couldn't finish it so went to counter to pay and ask for a takeaway container. I asked for one and the waitress said "what for". Um, the takeaway?? it's literally in the title, why else would you stock a takeaway container. Anyway, definitely a good feed, just totally whack service."
"Nice place to meet and very popular. The menu is extensive and there's too much on it. And although tasty there was zero effort made with food presentation, just like it was plonked on the plate."
"Dreadful. Had the Eggs Benedict with salmon. Watery egg whites, watery almost tasteless Hollandaise sauce. Hubby had the Carbon Tax (scrambled eggs with sausage) - he's not normally fussy but he couldn't eat it. It tasted terrible. He scraped the egg off and just put Vegemite on his toast. All in all one of the worst brekkies I've had."
"Ordered rump steak and salad - no dressing. Steak was tough and full of sinew. A really low grade piece of meat. No idea why it was even served. Food was swimming in salad dressing. Horrible. Such a disappointment when previous meals there have been enjoyable."
"Eggs Benedict, bacon +1 hash brown, cappuccino. Only complaint about the eggs bene' is no greens (would love some spinach). It's the same menu to what you would expect from Cafe 63 chain. Large seating area, glad to see dogs around. Points deducted on atmosphere as inside was sweltering; pity the staff having to deal with that heat all day. Overall, would come back."
