Located at 54 Kremzow Road in Brendale, Joy Flamenco is a premier flamenco dance school that has been providing exceptional dance education since 2018. Situated in the beautiful suburb of Brendale, just north of Brisbane, our fully-equipped boutique dance studio offers a wide range of classes for individuals of all ages and skill levels.

Led by our experienced Head Teacher, Miss Christine, who has over 15 years of expertise in teaching both children and adults, Joy Flamenco is dedicated to sharing the joy and beauty of flamenco dance with students of all generations. Miss Christine's passion for dance shines through in her teaching style, creating a serene and friendly atmosphere where students can learn and thrive.

Our classes cater to various age groups and skill levels. For our youngest dancers, we offer an introductory class that combines classical ballet and flamenco, focusing on fundamental skills, coordination, and social interactions. As students progress, we provide more advanced classes that emphasize technique, muscle strengthening, and the appreciation of the aesthetic aspects of dance. Our experienced instructors integrate challenging footwork combinations, music time rhythms, and choreography to help students develop a higher understanding of muscality.

In our beginner classes, students will learn the basics of flamenco technique, as well as popular Spanish flamenco dance routines and specific choreographies. Unlike many other Spanish and Latin dance styles, flamenco does not require a partner, making it accessible to all individuals.

We offer convenient class timings to suit your schedule. Our Little Dancers class, which combines flamenco and classical movement, runs from 4:15 pm to 5:00 pm. Our Pre Juniors class, also combining flamenco and classical movement, follows from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Please note that these classes now include a new element of ballet to strengthen classical technique and musicality.

To ensure a comfortable learning experience, each student will need ballet socks and canvas split sole ballet shoes, which can be purchased from Step By Step Dancewear. If you have any uncertainties or would like further details, please reach out to Miss Christine.
