"My car recently broke down while it was parked and I requested assistance from AAMI since I have comprehensive insurance which is more expensive, they estimated an excess of $900 for not having witnessed the accident, I paid the excess to be able to repair it. It took 2 weeks to get the appointment and when I take it to the mechanic he tells me that it will be ready in 3 weeks. It cannot be that despite offering the most comprehensive insurance, they charge me more money and make me wait a long time for the problem to be resolved. Terrible service from AAMI, do not waste your money with this garbage company."

"Garbage car insurance company. - arranged car tow with 3 operators over 2 weeks before 4th operator finally informed me that I have to arrange my own Tow. - car got assessed and determined to be a write off. Didn't find this out till 28 days later after calling and waiting on hold for 2 hour to find out myself. - Entire process made me want to unalive myself."

"I only have a garage for one car and there is only 2 hours of limited parking on the street, they made an appointment for 5 weeks after the accident, the accident car was waiting in the garage, they did not find a solution to give a rental car, the mechanic said it would be repaired in 3 days, it took 1 month, they did not answer the e-mails at all. , they saved an average of 15K because they didn't give me a car for 2.5 months, instead of paying for the cost of leaving me without a car for 2.5 months when the repair was finished, they said sorry and hung up, I thought I was living in a 3rd world country.. Shame.."

"I think I was one of the lucky ones. Car was stolen and house broken into. Quick response. 2 days later I had a hire car. Once my car was deemed a right off, was paid out around 2 or so weeks. Would’ve stayed with them but they couldn’t price match other premiums."
