"When I need fruit and vegetables, I head up the road to Yarra Farm Fresh. It is surrounded by strawberry fields and is the best place to buy strawberries during the strawberry season. They have a fantastic selection of affordable and fresh produce as well as local products for sale such as jam and pasta. There are also plants for sale outside."
"We be been here a few times, generally during cherry season as they have premium fruit at reasonable prices. The long driveway to the large, modern, farm shed store is absolutely stunning, especially in Autumn which is when we last visited to buy chestnuts and smoked trout. The Avenue is arched over by dozens and dozens of mature trees that have turned yellow gold and red. They have a great range of seasonal fruit and veggies, as well as meat, fish, frozen goods, all sorts of mainly gourmet grocery items. A nice range of jams and honeys and gift type items. Prices are around or a little dearer than similar supermarket fruit and vegetables, but the quality and freshness is higher."
