"The updated review below is based on my various experiences with this business: 2021-2022, 5 Star Review I have consistently received efficient and professional service from this mechanic, with excellent communication both over the phone and in person. The courtesy car provided is an added bonus, making car servicing stress-free and hassle-free. 2023, amended to 2 Star Review During my recent minor service, which was booked after agreeing on the tasks over the phone, I was surprised by the invoice amount of $800+. Typically, minor services have cost around $300+ in the past. After comparing previous itemized invoices, it appears that an additional $200-300+ was included in the fee for undisclosed tasks and labor that were undertaken without prior consent. For instance, light globes and front wipers were replaced without any attempt to call and verify if I wanted the work done. Notably, I had spare light globes and wipers in the car that was being serviced and had intended to handle the replacement myself. Other mechanics I’ve dealt with would always call to confirm before performing any extra work. When I inquired about the need for the lights/wipers replacement, a justification was provided without concrete evidence. Additionally, due to the lack of communication and consideration for my intentions regarding the car’s maintenance, I had a negative experience during this visit. This experience prompted me to amend my review to highlight the importance of better customer communication and respect for customers’ preferences in future interactions. I believe that by addressing these concerns, the mechanic can continue to provide excellent service and maintain the positive relationship I have enjoyed in the past. I hope that my feedback will be considered constructively to improve transparency and customer communication for future visits."

"Wow, what a positive experience! I don't write reviews online as a rule (positive or negative), but this business deserved it. I have owned my Subaru Outback for 6 months and was looking for a specialist Subaru mechanic. Lucas and his team were professional, curious and helpful. I had just had baby 3 days prior and Lucas was able to get my service done in 2 and half hours and get me on my way. He accidently forgot to get me a curtesy car but gave me 10% off as an apology (everyone is human hey?). I could not have asked for a better experience, first time customer, but felt like a customer of 10+ years. Thankyou Lucas Automotive team, I will be back."
