"I really like to eat here BUT recently the food has been of lower quality and not fresh. The Aburi (seared fish/meat on rice) has always been made fresh to order and served hot in the past. But recently when I order any kind of Aburi, the staff have given me the old ones that have been sitting on the train. (Why are these warm dishes even on the train now?) It’s really disappointing for $20ish worth of warm food to be served old and cold. There has been more plates of food on the train but I’ve also noticed more plates are so old that the mayonnaise on the sushi has gone from creamy white to clear and hard :/ I still enjoy coming here but PLEASE GO BACK TO THE HIGHER STANDARDS YOU USED TO HAVE! Thanks!"
"Big servings of ordered dishes and delicious Japanese beer to conquer hunger. A great place for a small party of up to 4 people (restaurant size is smaller than other sushi restaurants) but the range of food and drinks makes it a winner. Excellent service and the friendliest staff complete the experience"
"We are regular customers here. It has been 3-stars level. However, last visit was bad. Sushi rice was too soft, too wet, too much vinegar and squished too hard. If they are professional, they didn't use that failed sushi rice for their customers. That sushi rice wasn't a restaurant grade. One more thing to review is about their stamp card. I have been there so many times, but I always forget to ask stamps at the register. Other shops ask customers that "Do you have a stamp card?", but they don't. Well, forget about showing stamp card is half my fault. So, these cases were half/half responsibility. However, there was more. I have collected the stamps to get a free side plate, so I ordered a side plate ($6.80) and I showed my card to a Korean waitress. She said that "I don't know about this!". (oh well, it is your fault - you should not tell your customers about it). I said so, I can get the side plate for free right? She said that she will give me one Sushi plate ($4.60) free. What? It says "side plate". She was very strongly said that so I couldn't argue with her. Well, if you don't want your customers to use the stamp card, then don't offer the stamp card. It was only a bit more than $2 difference, but I really felt bad."
"Although the food is nice I was not impressed that they put a surcharge on my purchase for paying eftpos without notifying you of it. I understand it is only a small charge but customers should be informed and given the choice to pay cash or card. Not happy. Inform your customers"
