"Absolutely amazing place to spend time. The atmosphere is slightly dark but warm in a way. The sunken tables into the floor are a great compromise for those not used to traditional Japanese seating. The food itself is second to none! Every single thing we had was made with so much love and care and whilst some may say that the presentation is over the top it really makes every dish special. We especially enjoyed the grilled eel and oysters with the raspberry sauce. We ordered desert and the staff placed chocolate “happy anniversary” signs on the food it was such a lovely touch. All the staff were so attentive to our food allergies too with nothing being too much trouble. Anything negative to say? Perhaps only one toilet stall in the male bathroom isn’t enough to accomodate all the potential male patrons. We will be going back at least once a year as it really is special."
