"The only nice things I have to say about this hotel is that the breakfast is good and the staff quite helpful. Other than that, it's all bad. I was put in a room on the ground floor beside the gym which I can only assume hadn't been used in months due to the amount of dust everywhere. Even if I could look past that, in general, the room felt like more of a hostel than a 4 star hotel with splatters on the cupboards, a mini bar fridge that looked like it had been collected from the street during a hard rubbish collection and a dingy courtyard with 2 wilted couches that looked like they'd never been cleaned. Also, when they note tea/coffee making facilities and pod machine, they're referring to a sad looking kettle in a cupboard splattered with something sticky. I unfortunately couldn't check out when I arrived that first evening and was woken during the night from rowdy guests in reception until the wee hours of the morning and then someone grunting in the gym beside my room at 6am. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but checked out after 1."
"Room was average, expensive for what was on offer. Our sheets were stained and dirty, no doonah cover either. The bathroom has little privacy if you're travelling as a couple - the glass is only half frosted and you can see in to the toilet. Central location though."
"Great proximity to Fortitude Valley and clean rooms but that is unfortunately the only positives from our stay. They provided a makeup mirror (bonus!) but the bathroom lighting was dim, the pillows were too high (as were the alternatives in the cupboard) but it was the paper thin walls that did it for us. When our neighbours came home at 2am we could hear every word of their conversation. Luck of the draw of course but we had a terrible sleep, which is disappointing given the cost. The bed also didn’t feel like a queen but I’m happy to stand corrected."
"I was able to score an early check-in at the hotel. The room was very clean, had an ample mini bar, and was quiet despite the fact that it was right beside the lift. It was also a great experience to have breakfast there as well."
"It’s a good place to stay but not that great if you’re on a business trip. Maybe it was my room, but missing a desk, bigger room, sauna or swimming pool would be great. The gym having some windows rather than been indoor, the same for the rooms I like to open at least a bit a window to circulate fresh air"
