"Mick was alway helpful and friendly whenever I visited ! The sample shoes in the bargain bins are a bonus! While the experienced hikers move on to more robust and hard core brands over the years, I have chosen to come back to Keen after doing my circle of shoes experience in the last ten years! The weight restrictions on long distance travel over two months to UK got to to pack my five finger shoes, a pair of Keen shoes and Solomons Goretex trail running shoes. I am so grateful to the wider Keen which allowed me to tape up my feet through the 315km Coast to Coast - resulting in happy feet and blisters free! My poncho and umbrella kept me dry throughout the wet Scotland! Somehow this post refused to let me post photos from June 2023! Too many I suppose!"

"After visiting stores like Anaconda, Macpac, Merrell, Kathmandu and Decathlon, I nearly gave up on buying my first hiking shoes… The selection was overwhelming, I didn’t know where to start or how to even choose the right shoes! Luckily I stumbled across Escape 2 and had the best customer service from Mick! He is approachable, patient and very knowledgeable. He helped me find the right shoes (functionality) and ensured it was the right fit / size for me! And it was a cute pair too! "Shockingly bad experience. Very bad customer service. I bought what was claimed high quality backpack. Quick check out in the store didn’t reveal anything wrong, however packing at home revealed quite poor quality of stitches and grossly inconvenient and possibly wrongly designed supporting back platform. At least not suitable for my back. Next day refund was refused and only offered exchange but all models had the same design. Maliciously non emphatic and non helpful staff."

"Really great selection of hiking boots and even better service! I had no clue about hiking boots walking in but I was served by Monz and she was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions which made my experience so much easier. Have since worn my hiking boots and I love them. Recommended this store to my friend who also purchased a pair and is a very happy chap."
