We understand that not all children find learning easy, and sometimes, small gaps in their education can go unnoticed until they reach higher levels. That's why we offer the Karinya Support Programs, specifically designed to address and fill these gaps by providing individualized programs in the foundations of literacy and math.

Our results have shown that when these foundation gaps are filled, students experience significant advancements in their performance, as well as positive improvements in their self-esteem and confidence. This newfound confidence leads to increased motivation to learn and succeed in other areas, both at school and in life.

When designing an individualized literacy program, we take into account any previous assessments conducted by an Educational Psychologist or a Speech Pathologist. We then assess the child's abilities to determine their strengths and needs, catering to students with attention and short-term sequential memory difficulties, as well as language disorders such as dyslexia and auditory processing.

Parents will easily witness their child's improvement throughout the 20-week literacy program through the use of checklists. Each session builds upon the previous one, allowing the student to progress through various levels quickly, fostering a sense of accomplishment and boosting confidence. At the end of the program, another short assessment is conducted to measure progress and provide further recommendations.

Similarly, our individualized mathematics program focuses on reviewing basic skills and teaching an ordered approach to mathematical concepts and operations. Sessions are repetitive, tightly structured, and sequential, complementing your child's school curriculum. A final assessment is conducted to showcase progress and suggest future recommendations.

Karinya Educational Services has been owned and operated by Karen Perrin for over 20 years. With a Bachelor of Education, specializing in Remedial Literacy Development, and over 40 years of teaching experience, Karen leads a team of qualified and highly experienced Special Education Teachers who specialize in supporting struggling students.

Throughout all our programs, our teachers are available to discuss the progress of your child with both parents and teachers whenever necessary. We prioritize the confidentiality and security of all private information and reports.
