"My experience at ANZCA house has left me disappointed. The SIMG interview process felt unfair, considering my extensive work experience and recommendations from two department heads in Australia, assessing by AHPRA for several time as a senior registrar and passing AMC exam of Australia, attending EMAC and other required courses of ANZCA before interview and yet I was still asked to sit for exam and complete a maximum of 24 months of peer review! At least you could decrease my peer review period or at least clarify what was the reason of this result! It has been quite frustrating. But now my wife being pregnant and as a result, I have decided not to ask for reconsideration or return to this stressful and overwhelming environment, and prioritise my new baby in coming week and might back to my home country then. Everyday I am asking myself what was the reason?! and I am not anymore motivated to do extra in my future Anaesthesia practice in Australia and just do the base requirements. Hope you treat fairly with other SIMGs. Regards"
