"Went into the store today with my 1 year old looking for a gift for my brother and I was initially served by Julia who was amazing. She went above the acquired level of customer service and was just lovely. She interacted with my daughter which was so refreshing and helps me as a mother feel more at ease shopping (sometimes it can be difficult or uneasy particularly if my daughter is unsettled). She was engaging, nice and well mannered. Upon paying, there was an issue with a voucher I had (which stated I could use in store) and so she went to get help from her manager, Christian. He came over and told me they’d have problems with these in the past and and that it couldn’t in fact be used in store - to not only his frustration but mine. He was, as like Julia, well mannered and even though he was presenting a potential issue with the voucher redemption, he was sympathetic and understanding. It was refreshing to be in a store, served by people at least half my age and be positively overwhelmed by their calm, mature and respectful approach to the whole situation. In the end the issue was resolved and I left with the purchase I had intended, voucher applied. But the better outcome, was these two wonderful members of staff making my shopping experience a pleasant one. Well done team, you’re a credit to Glue Store, if only all shop assistants were as friendly, welcoming and helpful as you both."
