Welcome to Ballet Theatre Australia, located at 295 Bank Street in South Melbourne. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to inspiring, nurturing, and guiding dancers of excellence. Our mission is to develop mature and professional individuals through meticulous technique, musicality, and artistry.

Our Junior Full-Time Program is designed to develop and nurture each individual dancer within a serious yet encouraging environment. We focus on providing a strong and refined classical technique, along with an elegant style and professional attitude towards training. Students in this program are given a variety of challenging performance opportunities and the prospect of private coaching for national and international ballet competitions.

In addition to classical technique, our curriculum also includes guidance across all aspects of dance. Junior students participate in a four-day weekly schedule while maintaining their academic studies through Virtual School Victoria (VSV).

For those looking to further their ballet career, our Senior Program focuses on extending the individual's artistry and refining their technical excellence. This program prepares students to enter directly into a career with a professional ballet company. Like our Junior Program, senior students also have access to performance opportunities and private coaching for national and international ballet competitions.

Senior students participate in a five-day weekly schedule while maintaining their academic studies through Virtual School Victoria (VSV).

We understand that not everyone can attend a studio audition, which is why we invite prospective students to submit an online audition reel. Details for submission can be found on our application form.
